Areilon and Ouragana (South Herbalist Shop)
The elderly elven woman accepts the journal. "Thank you. Perhaps, in time, I might be able to track down her family some day, although I somehow doubt it. Still, I'll take good care of this."

Jocelyn, Andar, Val and Baeros (Restaurant, Queen of Harts)
Jocelyn wrote:"But that is only if you want those things. You are a captain of your own ship, so it seems like you don't want those things."
Saren nods. "I found myself at a crossroads. I wasn't happy as a navy sailor, and I wasn't happy as a priest. I discovered that only by combining the two did I really find my true calling. I loved sailing the high seas, but not as a soldier for war. And I loved helping people, but I felt that being tied down to a single church, a single community wasn't for me. Now I sail the high seas, helping people, but on my own terms. My ship is my church, my crew is my clergy, and our 'flock' is anyone out there that is in need of help and succor."
Baeros wrote:"You say a lot of people are getting killed on Mond? Do you know what is the situation there?"
"Not the details," Elisa admits. "But we do know that the League is, as usual, stirring up trouble and people are getting hurt as a result. The whole island is on the verge of civil war, at least according to the reports we've heard so far."

"You know, that sounds kind of nice," Jocelyn admits. "To live, mostly by your own rules and do what you want to do. I'm not even really sure running a church is really my thing."

"Do you think you can stop a civil war? The whole island is a lot of people and a lot of mess, to change the course of such grand events you must handle key personnel, or have some special knowledge regarding the situation. Do you have such knowledge?"

"I'm sure you will" Ouragana says with a smile.
Then she looks around the shop and asks: "Do you sell only herbs or do you make preparations, too? Like an ointment against skin rashes and itching?"
There's more to me than meets the eye...

Jocelyn, Andar, Val and Baeros (Restaurant, Queen of Harts)
Jocelyn wrote:"I'm not even really sure running a church is really my thing."
"And what do you feel would be your 'thing?'" asks Saren asks with mild amusement.
Baeros wrote:"Do you think you can stop a civil war? The whole island is a lot of people and a lot of mess, to change the course of such grand events you must handle key personnel, or have some special knowledge regarding the situation. Do you have such knowledge?"
"Oh, no. We don't have near the manpower to stop the war, or even slow it down," Elisa admits. "No, we just provide aid and succor to the victims of the fights; heal the wounded and sick, feed the hungry, help build shelter for those who lost their homes, and give hope to the hopeless."

Areilon and Ouragana (South Herbalist Shop)
The woman nods. "Yes, I have a number of ointments and poultices for sale, including one to aid in reducing itching," she says. "Can I interest you in a bottle for 2 silver pieces?"

Val speak up. "So it would be a human.....humanitarian mission?" As she stumbles over the word. "Not for profit?"

"That....I don't really have an answer to just yet," Jocelyn admits. "Despite being wounded, and almost killed by various things, I've felt more at ease on the road than I did within the town I was assigned to."

"Aermmm." Baeros grunts, "well, as I said, after we conclude our current business I might go to Mond myself to see my family. So we can collaborate."

"Yes, I will take that, thank you" Ouragna says with a smile.
After their purchase, she will leave the shop and turn to Areilon. "Should we join the others, then?"

Jocelyn, Andar, Val and Baeros (Restaurant, Queen of Harts)
The server returns with everyone's food, and begins putting the plates in front of everyone.
Val wrote:"So it would be a human.....humanitarian mission? Not for profit?"
"That is correct," Tivrella states. "The only money we make are from donations, which all goes to further our cause in helping others."
Jocelyn wrote:"Despite being wounded, and almost killed by various things, I've felt more at ease on the road than I did within the town I was assigned to."
"Are you saying you feel you can do work in Octhanus' name better on the road? Or that you prefer to be on the road than to be a servant to Octhanus?" asks Saren.

Areilon and Ouragana (South Herbalist Shop)
"Yeah, we might as well," Areilon says. "Our good deed of the day is finished."

"I like being a servant of Octhanus," Jocelyn says. "I just, there are still concepts I have issues with. I don't know how someone can learn about those concepts when they are busy being the spiritual leader of a town or village."

Ouragna and Areilon go back to the Queen of Harts and look for the group in the dining room. "Good evening everyone" Ouragana says as they approach the table.

"Ouragana, Areilon, grab a seat. Missed the food order though." Baeros comments in his usual overwhelming tact. "Did you find the woman's relatives?"

Ouragana shakes her head. "There doesn't seem to be any family left here, but we found a friend and entrusted the journal to her" she answers Bearos's question before finding herself a seat.

"Some would say that the best way of learning is by doing," Saren tells Jocelyn. "Nothing found in a book can compare to a real life experience, after all."

When Ouragana and Areilon arrive, Saren and the others look up at them. "Uh, welcome. The rest of your party, I assume?" Saren asks at the lack of introductions.
