Val reacts calmly for her. She holds on to her trident with the butt firmly on the ground. "You will find more at the inn, where he tried to kill us."

Val pauses, gauging the reaction.

Ouragana seconds Val. "Yes, two of these things attacked us at the inn. We followed them here to find more and their maker."

"I said drop your weapons! Hands in the air! Now!" the warden insists. Ten crossbows remain loaded and aimed at the party.

At this sign of a lack of cooperation on the party's part, the two other wardens who just arrived warily draw their swords. "Ovina Orcbane," the female says, "and Kilak Goldhelm," she adds, gesturing to her male companion. "If you are innocent of murder as you claim, you will comply or we will take you by force."

Blade already sheaved Arei pulls her cloak around her semi battered body she raises her arms in the air.

"We have nothing to hide, and as such we surrender, we have no intention of fighting you." She says weakly, stepping towards the Dwarves.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Once the party has complied, the wardens quickly confiscate their weaponry and pat them down to find any others. This includes Jocelyn's hammer and sling stones, Ouragana's two daggers and wand, Areilon's newfound guns, crossbow, bolts, stiletto and Telsa, and Val's two tridents, axe, and bow and arrows.

After the party has been thoroughly unarmed, the wardens relax a bit. They no longer point their crossbows at the party, but keep them cocked and readied just in case.

A few search the room, then come back to report to Ovina and Kalik. "Nothing else here. No evidence that points to anyone here being the murderer, including Tinskin."

"Mighty suspicious, if you ask me," Kilak says.

Ovina thinks things over. "There's only one way to find out for sure then," she says. "Go wake up the Kohen. Bring him here and have him interrogate Tinskin. If he is the murderer, as these people say, the truth will come out. If not, we'll find out soon enough." Two wardens depart to obey her orders.

She then turns toward the party. "If what you say is true, your names will be cleared within the hour. But I have some questions first. You said these...contraptions attacked you at the inn? The Paragon? And then you followed them back here and killed Tinskin. That's your story then?"

Despite her resolve to let the others do the talking, Ouragana answers Ovina. "We had been talking to the Cohen about what the murder victims said about their attackers. They claimed they had been attacked by »Iron Skin, Diamond Eyes". So when the mechanical spiders attacked us in the suite of the Paragon Inn, we realised they fit the description perfectly. So we followed them."

"Yes. And you can ask Brock, the bodies of the creatures are still there, go and check." Arei says softly, feeling naked without her blade. "And we found tracks around the Windmill, just like these creatures would make."

"He killed the girls, all of them, because of The Jeweler.." She adds keeping her voice level.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Jocelyn shakes her head at the others. "You guys aren't explaining this very well," she says before ahe turns to the constables. "Yes we were attacked at the inn, and we did fight them off," she explains. "We decided to follow the tracks of the spiders, and they lead us here. We then saw one of the spiders climb down the fireplace, so we broke down the door to get inside. We were then attacked by more spiders, which we fought off, and, then we found the clockmaker down below with more spider things," Jocelyn says."He then go into this speech about how he was always there to listen to all the girls that went out with his best friend, but they never went out with him. So he was tired of. being the nice guy, so he killed them. He was a special kind of crazy."

"Go check out the Paragon," Ovina tells another pair, and they run off to do so.

"One thing, though," Kilak interrupts. "Who killed Tinskin then?"

Jocelyn gives a little shrug. "Beats me," she said. "One of those spiders knocked me out after the clockmaker gave his little speech about killing a bunch of people."
