CH 3: Pulp Adventure!

"I could scout," Grey volunteers. "Or we can stick together, if that's your thing."

[Breila]

"Scout, of course" Ouragana says. "And it might be time to use my distraction."

How thick is the brush, would Ouragana be able to squeeze through it, in an arc, trying to see where the camp is?

[Jenara]

Arei says nothing in response to the Cleric, she nods at Grey, if she could move without a stick she'd have already done it.

[JadedDM]

The brush is quite thick. It's very difficult to move through it without making a lot of noise. But somehow, the gnome manages to disappear within the brush without disturbing anything, nor making any noise at all.

After five minutes, the gnome returns to the group. "Okay, here's the sitch," he says quietly, keeping his voice down. "There's a clearing up ahead, and a small camp. Couple of tents, a nice fire going. I counted at least four people there. They've got cover--some kind of crude palisades. They seemed...relaxed. I heard talking, even a bit of laughing. They aren't expecting trouble."

[Jenara]

"Perhaps you should all go and take a look?" Arei suggests, resting against a tree, "I can barely walk, let alone do anything else, come back for me when you know what is happening."

[Breila]

"Can you show me to a place where I can see some of the camp? Then I can cast light, looking like fire, on the bushes at the far side, hopefully drawing them there. Or should I draw them here so we can ambush them in turn?" Ouragana asks first Grey, then the others.

[JadedDM]

"Sure," Grey says. "If you can move quietly enough so that they don't hear you coming."

[Nuke]

"Do they look like the ones that attacked us?"

Val waits for a response before continuing.

"Then we should consider them enemies."

(OOc assuming a positive response)

Grey nods. "Yep. Malnourished, primitive, face-paint, the whole nine yards."

[HorizonsDream]

"Wait a minute, once we ambush them, do you plan on just killing them?" Jocelyn asks. "I mean, shouldn't we at least try to understand them first before we outright kill them?"

[Nuke]

"Ah, little late, six dead ones back there."

"You think you can talk out of that?"

[Breila]

"I would prefer capture over outright killing, too. Though I don't know if we will be able to communicate." Ouragana states. "So, should I try to lure them away or here?"

[Jenara]

"I was trying to take one alive.." Arei laughs, "They attacked us because we are unknown, was kill or be killed. Could have been us. This time we can even the odds, i will slow you down tho."

[HorizonsDream]

"There is a difference," Jocelyn says to Val. "We were defending ourselves back there. This time, if we out right attack them, it would be the other way around," she points out. "The ideal way to do this would be to surround them."

[Breila]

"But we're too few to surround the camp" Ouragana points out. "Especially since Areilon is injured and I'm not good at fighting any time. But if we lure them here, we can do it."
