Nocturno slashes at the goblin that skewered Linar.

He will start shouting insults in Elven about the goblins lineage, and how it is mixed with their worgs.

Bullock pushes his way to the front, drawing his massive broadswords. In a sweeping slash he cuts down the worg on the front lines, providing an opportunity for the badly injured Drow to retreat. The goblin rider tumbles artlessly from his mount into a heap on the ground. Wasting no time, Nocturno executes the downed goblin with grim efficiency.

The Drow begins to withdraw but an orcish crossbow bolt strikes, further injuring him! Retreating to a columned alcove he offers up a shaky prayer of healing, and a small portion of his wounds close. Katten fires back into the now less-crowded goblin line, killing another worg rider, and leaving but a single beast facing their melee…

Just as things seem to be letting up, a mass of orcs and goblins round the corner to the South. Many are in chainmail or makeshift bone-splint, and the orcs carry a variety of polearms, axes, crossbows and other weapons. In the back a grizzled and heavily scarred goblin in bone-splint raises a battle-axe above his head and shouts in common. Keel dose wort-less slaves, an' Bring me da Head of da BULL!!

Nearby things begin to lool grim as Gorme and Fin try their luck at fending off the Worgs to no avail. Jordek mutters erratically to himself, twisting the intricate ring from the Basilisk cave. The loop of black flecked with tiny sparkling chips of azure, violet and cleat gems flickers in the darkness. Finally he holds it aloft, and a spray of purple sparks streaks from the ring; snapping, crackling and popping across the stunned enemy! When the scattered flashes subside, the two goblins lie motionless on the ground and the Worgs snarl and paw at their snouts and faces in protest.

One lashes out viciously, biting Fin, but Aldgild's well-aimed pickaxe strikes it's hard skull in retaliation. The two canines, clearly suddenly riderless and the worse for wear, seem to be reconsidering their circumstances…

Down the side tunnel, Jordek dives with a frenzy towards the injured Worg; plunging his daggers over and over into it’s neck and back as he scampers madly across it like a rabid squirrel! He rides the body to the ground, but the final worg drags him off of the deceased; crushing his small body with a savage bite! A perfectly-aimed rock from Gorme cracks into it’s eye-socket like a shot! The beast releases the injured Forest Gnome. Fin and Aldgild strike out at the creature as well, who seems to begin to realize it is completely outnumbered and alone…

Back in the main chamber…
Bullock lays into the last Worg before it has a chance to retreat, man-sized swords carving through bone and hide in a vicious flurry of hacking blows. The beast lies dead, freeing up the front line. The orcs and goblins begin to move forward as one under the command of the clear leader. KEEL da Elf! ROST da Bull! SKEEN da Katz! And BURN dey BONES!! The shrill voice is cut short as one of Katten’s arrows cuts a glancing slash across his hideous face, no doubt adding another scar to the jumbled mess he already bore.

Crossbow bolts fly from the orcs, one punching into Nocturno’s shoulder; but it hardly slows the enraged Elf. The heavily armored cleric stomps forward and engages with the lead orc, causing his javelin to careen out of his hands and strike his fellow behind! An orc in the second rank tries to reach the Champion of Corellon, but the elderfolk’s superior armor turns the blow with ease. The injured Linar takes cover by the cavern wall, sending arrows into the enemy line.

One of the orcs shouts at the captives in the torchlight nearby, Slave go Back or DIE! The huddle of unarmed captives slowly begin to back away, though some of the goblins begin to eye them as if they need some pointed encouragement… Wrolk begins to raise his voice to shout again, but another arrow blooms in his chest as the Feliz ranger finds her mark. Rage boils across his face and a primal scream of outrage and abject hatred echoes in the cavern as he motions the goblinoid formation Forward!!

"Kill Da Scum!" Katten calls in a clear voice, her arrows aimed purely at the leader now. She lines up her shots, one at a time.

Findalsip, frustrated just a touch, again tries to connect with his club.

Bullock brings his sword down in a crushing blow, but the orc dodges out of the way just in time so that the huge blade buries itself in a small cluster of stalagmites! The Minotaur deals a vicious backhanded stroke with his other weapon, cutting the creature down. Three of Chief Wrolk's guards, all bearing battleaxes and in rusty chain or bone-splint armor, begin their coordinated assault on the giant intruder.

Another Orcish warrior moves up to the front line, slashing with his own broadsword at the minotaur. Bull blocks the blow with such force that it skitters across the ground towards the torchlit chain-gang! A white haired half elf captive dives for the sword, snatching it from the floor before the orc can recover! He grips it with white-knuckled shaky uncertainty...

While Jordek and Fin have the last opponent distracted, Gorme and Aldgild gather up two of the dead goblin's spears and rush back to the other captives! Passing the spears off to the human man and woman in their 20s, the pair hold the weapons awkwardly; leaving the recovering Jeram slumped against the wall for support. The goblin chief himself leads two of his guards towards the slaves, who barely manage to fend off the Tribesmen's blows… That is, until the half-elf with the sword is struck down by a goblin axe!! A middle aged woman in the back of the clustered captives cries out in pure anguish! NOOO!!! Anthir!!!

Crossbow bolts whiz past Katten as Linar returns fire, killing one of the orcish archers. The Felis' focus is all on the leader but between the milling melee and the torchlight she fails to land a shot on her target. Nocturno cuts down his opponent in a rage, only for the trident-wielding Orc to take its place!

Fin and Jordek stab and bash and slice at the wounded work, even as snapping jaws threaten to snatch the two Gnomes. After a furious frenzy, the final furry foe falls, leaving only the sound of their heaving breath and the clamor of nearby battle…
