Isaril nods back to Unbar and, as the dwarf polishes off his berries, the elf eats some himself.
He looks at Vic, eyes flicking over his body.
When Val emerges, the party cut across the potato and pumpkin field and Vic, peering down a crater, speculates, "What are these things... it's like the heavens attacked..."
Reaching the nearest single-story wooden building, [#4D, already examined so skipping forwards] the group find it ransacked and turn their attention eastwards to another single-storey wooden building. [#4E]

There are neat rows of flowers and non-flowering plants out side the cottage. [#4E]
Numerous potted plants stand on its window sills and near the walls. Isaril examines some and says to Vic, "Herbalist lived here. Many of these can help: sleeping, clotting, allergies.."
Some of the pots and plants have been trampled or overturned.
The front rtoom of the house has its roof demolished and a crater consumes most of the floor. The back room remains intact. None of the walls are damaged.
A halfling lies motionless on the floor to the far side of the crater.
Many potted flowers, ferns and plants can be seen inside the cottage.

What next?

======
Is Vic wounded?
Vic can try a disadvantaged Investigation skill check for the crater in the potato and turnip field..

Vic should be uninjured. He was never near the real fighting.

He will gaze into the crater.

Investigation (Dis)Adv: [1d20+4] = 12+4 = 16 [1d20+4] = 9+4 = 13

No matter the result.

"Destruction, looting, goblins., such a waste."

Unbar turns the halfling over and find that his head and back back been pulped as if by some massive force.

Vic notes that the crater in thethe house is just like the one in the turnip field, having a rock at the bottom and that the sides of the crater are nearly vertical.
A floorboard creaks as Vic steps up behinf Unbar.

Isaril and possibly Woody stand guard outside. [#4E]

The section of floorboard looks loose; unlike the rest there are no nails holding it in place.

Val does so. Crouching amost the ferns Isaril looks at Val as if inspecting him and nods.

Meanwhile, inside, Vic easily prises up a section of floorboard and is rewarded with a pouch, a vial of bubbling colourless liquid, and some kind of equipment.
He determines that the pouch contains fifteen dragons and Unbar recognises the equipment as a Herbalism Kit.

What (or where) next?

Val can make a hard Perception skill check if he wishes.

Vic looks at the halfling. "I guess he won't be needing this..." He guiltily looks around. Any signs of family?

Vic looks round at the back room. Apart from a table and two chairs all of the furniture is halfling-sized. There is a double bed and a ladder leading up to a mezzanine area which holds four palliasses so presumably two adults and four children sleep here.

Vic will loop the bag on his belt, making sure to keep it separate from the rest of his coin.

Val is not wounded. He used his Stone Endurance in the fight to reduce the damage taken.
