Re: Act 1, Scene 2: “Into The Wild” (Group A: Main Game Thre
"We were witness to a ceremony lead by Akingwios. He seemed to be channeling another. Possibly Ála’ Nishtł’ajígo. We were told of hatred in the past. A darkness driven back by the light of a star.
But it shatters, and the pieces are spread throughout the forest. With the pieces hidden or lost, the darkness starts to gather strength again. It promises that if the evil is not stopped now, while small enough to stop, it will corrupt the forest, and the foul creatures will enslave the world."
He will sigh, not used to such abstract things. A blade in his hand, the sing of the arrow in flight...
"Our Sylvan relatives have chosen to search for the shards of light, to unify them, before engaging the forces of this... this horde. I plead that we aid them in this search, I have seen the caves, and the way their captives were treated. We must purge this darkness now."

The elders pass an unreadable look between each other, and it is Shind'le'ni who speaks this time, And have you seen any evidence of these 'pieces'? he asks calmly. Or any evidence of some hidden darkness aside from this dream?
Indendien all but growls at the apparent questioning of the prophecy, fist clenched. The other elder shushes her calmly as one might an unruly pet.
There was that bone-priest... Elden says quietly to Nocturno.

Seeing no focused attention on himself as the interview proceeds, Jordek will casually look about the room and give Chitt a suggestion (non verbal as to not interrupt) to explore the room a bit. While he keeps an ear out for anything interesting that might be said he largely appears to ignore the conversation and the group he stands with. If Chitt exploring causes no disturbances in the interview Jordek will casually join Chitt in an attempt at a seemingly bored wandering of the room while really checking out some of the more intricate examples of melding natural growth with artificial construct within the room.

"Ah yes, thank you" He will say to Elden.
He try to hide any face or indication that he notices the way Indendien is treated. Which he finds odd, just a short time ago he would have probably done the same when faced with a Sylvan in this type of situation.
"Their Shaman, a bone-priest we heard them called. And this, this trinket, I found in an offering basket on my way to meet Signa. The symbol matches a much larger symbol found in the cave we cleaned out. Above an altar clearly used for sacrifice. I was told it was the symbol for their savage god... if they are praying to a god they must be organizing..."
He then stops to think.
"That Rod we found. It was clearly sought after by the goblin-kind. I wonder if that is a piece of this puzzle."
After his musing he will remember where he is and gather himself.

Chitt begins to scope the place out. he doesn't get very far before he notices something moving in the vaulted ceiling. It's just a slight rustling, but his keen eyes pick up the movement of feathers... Jordek's vision soon identifies the source... a great owl... he peers around and finds another, and a third...
Inspecting the area around, he notes that the elder's seats, the doorways, the features of the room all appear to have been grown into place, not carved or crafted in any other way.... it must have taken hundreds if not thousands of years...
The elders listen to his recounting carefully. A goblin Witchdoctor. Chi'nallen replies in an unreadable tone. Nocturno proffers the token and each inspects it. We will have the others ponder this as well.
Do you still have this rod? And would you describe it/

Trying to hide his embarrassment for not bringing the rod. He will describe it.
"It is slender, and obviously metallic. It looks most like a highly polished iron wand the length of his forearm. One end has a grooved ring where something is supposed to clamp on, the other end bears 2 finely drilled holes where another piece should be mounted... it is obviously incomplete."

If this token is what it appears to be... this has happened before...
A time before... back when Misailloend’ath was young... The prophecy is true.
If they are connected, the goblins are put the tip of a finger... the first twitching movement of a wakening darkness... Neither can we risk drawing it's attention yet. The item should be kept safe... not here, nor any settlement that cannot withstand it...
A hidden place. And yes, there are several pieces... there was also once a scroll. It details the way the pieces must be assembled, and the magics necessary to use it. The other fragments must be found. Was there any hint... any indication where others might be?

"The other camps! They must be digging for other pieces."

[Ooc: yes, he has a copy. And if you recall, Arac or maybe Fitz mentioned the goblins searching for something because the tribe leader had one other piece.]
Re: Act 1, Scene 2: “Into The Wild” (Group A: Main Game Thre
Nocturno will unravel the map he made for himself. "Here, and here. Other camps that must be digging for more pieces. Also one of the captives mentioned the tribe leader having a piece already."
He will take a deep breath.
"I fear they have a head start!"

How we begins is less important than how we finish. Shind'le'ni says smoothly. So long as we possess one piece, they cannot complete the item... but the others must be gathered. It is of the highest importance that you ensure the piece you have now can never be lost. He says, eyes catching Nocturno's in a seemingly unyielding gaze.
We cannot risk exposure until we have them all, that would make us targets. Small forces of mixed company are best, to move quietly and find the others. And to obtain them if possible. We all must proceed very cautiously from here. Chi'nallen finishes.
The two look to each other and the barest nod can be discerned. All of the Elders will discuss these things. Your group has proven... diverse but effective enough for now. If they are willing to continue, then we will ask Signa to communicate things to your group.
Sure, sounds like fun! Elden says, grinning wide. Indendien smirks at the human's response and replies, Neither will I abandon the forest to this... vague evil. she says, head held proudly.
Was there anything else of import you have to share? Chi'nallen directs at the High-Elf Cleric.

Of course. We must be kept apprised of things. You are still a guardian of this community, after all. Chi says not unkindly. Signa will aid you in this as well.
Be cautious in your task, but steadfast. Your group has proven effective in retrieving one piece, now we will see how effective you can be at tracking down the others. We will use the resources at our disposal as well, to the extent we are able without drawing focus here. Shin adds.
The elders stand, indicating an end to the meeting
Go with the blessings of Corellon
Go with the protection of all of the Seldarine

"May Corellon bless you as well." he will say quietly as he bows and then will lead the others out.

Indendine remains silent for a moment as they leave, before finally speaking. I know it is the way of your people, but I do not like the manner in which you are commanded like some... Nevermind. We do what is best for the forest, and that is enough... I hope the others had as simple a time returning to their homes.
