OOC Chat

A 5e D&D campaign starting at 1st level in and around the city of Waterdeep in the Forgotten Realms.

Waterdeep: City of Splendours, seat of many thousand plots. Are they opportunities for success, or for an untimely demise?
Will the adventurers sit safely in their comfort zones? Or will they risk their all to carve out a slice of Realms history with their names on it? Puppet or puppeteer?

In the absense of anything else mostbeings would just time simply by "early", "late" or "somewhere in between".

Happy to go with the monk judging it (as a full round action) to the nearest couple of hours on a WIS saving throw.
Druid can do it accurately and automatically to the nearest half hour when in own terrain. Takes a WIS saving throw elsewhere in the open to judge to the nearest hour. Underground they are the same as anyone else.

Completed the 12h stint.
So I've been at the gaming table for 24h in the last 6 days. Got a 6h session tomorrow.
I will then sleep like the dead.

What's the scale on the map? Are we always going to be using the same scale?

It's the first time I've used dungeonographer.
Original scale was 1 square = 5' which is the scale I use for minis.
When I tried to make the pic small enough for the site to accept the scale got messed up.

In general ceilings are about 16' in rooms and 10' in corridors with corridors being 10' wide.

How do you like it so far?
I've only played with it briefly.

Clunky. But I've literally only done a single 20x20 room in it.
I hope it's better when I get more familiar.
Not going to buy it until I know its something I'll keep using. Excel and a screenshot into Paint is Plan B.
