Marvelous Act 3 first post. It's a book I want to read!

OK, what, if anything, does Jerry know about the "Crown of Souls"?

Glad you like it . Maybe when the game is over I'll wrap it all together and re-write it like a book for the players... provided I have time.

Jerry only knows the name of the crown and that the gypsy spirit said she needs it. She doesn't even know if it is physically a crown or if the name is a euphemism or code for something else. A short talk with the others might reveal that the girl Akriel they have promised to help is looking for a crown too... albeit one with a different name... it is up to the PCs to tell you this, though. Merrick wasn't present for that.

Either place is fine, as long as you move to main when Jerry leaves her room it doesn't matter. Or you can go ahead and post there if you don't want to jump about between threads.

Jerry murmurers, "Merrick, wake up. You're having a bad dream," and gently shakes him awake.
When he comes round, she hugs him, "Hold me please. I, too, had an awful dream. Unlike any I've had before. I things it's something about..this place; this plane. Do you mahe them all the time?"

She mentions about the crown, but when he professes to not know anything about it, she moves on. to talk about their planned day out, including visiting places for potential jobs and making contact with places that might allow her to research the crown and/or new spells.
After a while, she washes, dresses and so forth and then sets about regaining her spells.

Jerry prays for CLW x3.

{OOC: Not sure how replacing spells works. Ideally she'd like to offer the 'Armour' she has in memory to (be cast on) Merrick and then relearn it for today. Or she could have done such casting last night. The main point is that it's a gesture that she cares for him. Also just to check: she has one day left for 'Protection from Hunger & Thirst', correct? And her current 'Armour' runs until dispelled or sufficiently damaged to dispel it, correct? For speed, which is what you wanted, happy for you to bullet list salient points/contacts/info around town.}

[Ooc: I'll allow you to cast armor and re-learn it for the day, but usually it would have to have been done the night before. Any spell not cast still in memory doesn't need to be re-learned. Study/praying takes 10 mins/spell level, so 4 1st lvl spells takes 40 minutes to re-acquire. Yes, armor will last until dispelles or the damage total exceeded.]

Merrick wakes slowly and seems shocked to find himself entangled with Jarry in her bed... at first, anyway. He soon settles down and holds her gently, if a bit awkwardly. Nightmares? No more than usual... I can't really remember what it was about now... What did you dream of? After they speak softly for a while she rises, and he averts his eyes as she washes... though she is certain he steals a glance from time to time while she is dressing... the heat in his cheeks seems proof enough... Before long he too is forced to dress and she has a chance to examine him more closely in the light. He is slender, graceful (though his nervous awkwardness hampers him some), and surprisingly healthy looking; though not physically powerful... He is also better looking than most, which doesn't hurt.

Afterwards she begins an armor spell, he moves as if to prevent her but seems to recognize it. The spell fails, but she quickly realizes why... he was already under the affects of one stronger, likely his own casting. He smiles at her, That was a kind gesture, I would return the favor now but my spellbook is... um... elsewhere. When we stop by the Silver Scale I could... or shall we meet there in say an hour? You must have your own studies to attend... or I could return and meet you downstairs?

[Ooc: from her observation and last night's 'activity' she can tell his Str is a little below average, con and cha a little above, dexterity fairly well above]

"I'll probably wait here for you, please, Merrick. I've learned a few words of Harmonian {OOC: 6%} but nowhere near enough to be comfortable mixing generally," she replies with a smile. She kisses him on the cheek, "I'm so glad I met you."

He bows formally, perhaps in jest, As you wish, my lady fair. Her kiss on the cheek causes him to blink, even though they shared a bed the night before. He returns the gesture by kissing her on the forehead before leaving quietly. Settling in, Jerry does her morning studies and prays to Mystra for her curative spells... again the veil between her and her goddess seems... hazy.

[Ooc: it looks like some of the others are preparing to head downstairs to breakfast. A little brief interaction might be good. Jerry hasn't really gotten the chance to talk to the others at length with all of the dancing and festivities last night.]

Jerry hears a knock at the door. It's the Gnome (who was invisible when she first met everyone the night before, but she later saw him around), asking if she wants to come down to the common room and swap spells.

"Oh by My Dear Mystra, yes, yes please!" replies Jerry.
Then she pauses, "You were the one that I couldn't see last night, I assume?"
She smiles broadly and offers a curtsy, "Well met! I, as you know, am Jerry. Might I hear your name, Good Sir?"

After the initial pleasantries, Jerry says I was ready to go down for breakfast as it happens, so that's good timing indeed." She drops her voice to a whisper, "I thought most of the local folks get upset about magic, so shouldn't we exchange, which I really, really do want to do, in private?"

"I'm Cal. Yeah, I was invisible for a while. I'm not really a fighter. That's a good point. Whose room is biggest?"

"Well, I haven't seen yours yet, so I wouldn't know what size it is,"replies Jerry, trying to stop an improper smile flitting across her face.
"Let's go get breakfast first though; I'm sure you're hungry. But before we go down, and we have some time to think about it, I can do: 'Armour, Colour Spray, Copy, Detect Magic, Identify, Protection from Hunger & Thirst, Protective Amulet, Read Magic'. What's your spell repertoire? I'm supposed to be going on a tour of the town with Merrick in an hour, so we might not have time to scribe the spells just yet, but no reason we can't come to some kind of agreement."
The half elf gives Cal a big beaming smile - she's clearly enthusiastic at the possibility of spreading magic around.

{OOC: @Tristen - how long does it take to transcribe a spell? I know Jerry can do Copy, but it'll be tomorrow now before she can memorise that.}

Yeah we can do it later. Judging by your hair and general state of the bed, you've already gotten a... tour from Merrick." He winks and leaves.
