"Huh," the gnome replies. "It better not shit all over room then," he says.

"It won't," Echo says. She turns from the gnome, and walks out of the inn to pick up her supplies (more rations for a couple of weeks), and then heads to the tailor.

Echo stops by the general store and picks up two week's worth of dried rations for 20 gold pieces. After putting them all in her backpack, she realizes they are quite heavy!

Looking around, she spots the tailor shop. The sign is in Gnomish, but the emblem is that of a cloak, so it seems a good guess.

Stepping inside, she finds a number of wooden dummies that are modeling various styles of gnomish attire. There is nobody around, but there is a small bell on the front desk.

==============

Echo is now in light encumbrance.

Echo walks over to the counter and rings the bell to hopefully get someone's attention.

"Contraya, contraya!" calls out a male voice. A middle-aged gnome with shaggy black hair, green eyes and brown skin steps out from behind a curtain. His beard, unlike his mane of hair, is actually fairly well-trimmed. "Ah, a human," he says, switching to Common. "Or an elf? Whichever. I had heard they were let into the town. No matter, no matter! Of what service can I be to you, miss?" he asks pleasantly.

"I'm a half elf," Echo explains. "And I'm looking to buy a cloak, for someone about your size. Well, maybe a little be larger than that."

"Ah, then you came to the right place," the tailor says. "Is there a particular color or style you are searching for?"

"Well, it needs a hood. Perhaps in a deep red or green?" Echo offers.

"And how much are you looking to spend today?" the tailor asks.

"Well, that all depends on how much a cloak like I described would cost," Echo says.

"That depends on the quality, of course," the tailor explains. "The cheapest I have in stock would set you back a few coppers. The most expensive gets up to 20 or even 30 gold pieces."

"Do you have something in between those?" Echo says. "Say something for five or ten gold pieces?"

The tailor nods and steps into the back. When he returns, he has a small cloak that is deep red in color. It's of fine quality, like that of an important official or minor noble. There's a bit of gold trim along the edges. "This one here costs 7 gold pieces."

"Oh, he is just going to tear this up," Echo says as she looks over the cloak. "It is even better than mine, but all right," she adds, pulling out seven gold pieces and handing it over to the gnome. "I'll take it."

The exchange is made; Echo pays for the cloak and the tailor wraps it up in a nice box for her.

Echo pays 7 gold pieces.
