"Ah, yes. I was wondering about that chest on Hollidan's horse. Well, we can see to dividing it up later," the Pharise says. "You've done good work, Miss Soulstaff. I don't yet regret hiring you."

"...Thank you, Pharise," Echo says, though she is a little unsure if what he said was a good thing or a bad thing. With a small bow of her head, she heads to Hollidan's tent, figuring he won't be using it, so she can get some rest.

Echo heads straight to Hollidan's tent, and sure enough, it is unoccupied, save for a thick winter blanket. It's quite dark now, and most of the pilgrims are sitting down to dinner before turning in for the night. One can only hope that there won't be a repeat of what happened last time.

Echo, decides to partake in some dinner herself, before she studies and turns in for the night.

Echo eats a meal of dry rations and finishes off the water in her wineskin. She makes a mental note to remember to fill it up again soon.
She settles in for the night, and soon is off to sleep.
It's the middle of the night when something wakes her. It's completely dark now, and very quiet. Nonetheless, she hear someone in the tent, shuffling around. It slowly dawns on her that someone is going through her backpack.

Echo sits up quickly and reaches out to grab the person's leg. "I would stop that if I were you," she threatens.

The person, as it turns out, is not what Echo expected. He's quite small, and when she touches him, she realizes his leg is covered in scales.
The creature yelps in surprise and fear and smacks his tail at her reflexively. Echo's infravision finally kicks in, and she sees that the creature is in fact, a kobold.

"A kobold?" Echo asks in surprise. Though, she isn't about to let the thing go. "What are you doing in this tent?" she asks. "And drop anything you might have taken, now."

The kobold, more surprised than anything else, looks around nervously then drops the mirror and spellbook it had pilfered from her backpack. "No kill, no kill!" it whines, trembling.

"Why shouldn't I?" Echo asks. "I just caught you stealing my stuff. Are you the only one?"

The kobold's eyes widen. "Y-No, no others. All alone."

"You seem unsure about that," Echo points out. "So, I'll ask again. Are there others in this camp?" she asks. "I would suggest not lying to me either. All I have to do is say a word to kill you," she says, knowing that it wasn't true. Though, the kobold didn't know that.

The kobold visibly shakes. "M-Maybe others...looking for things...in camp," it says, its eyes constantly darting between its leg, Echo, and the exit.

"It might be a good idea to signal them to drop what they have stolen, and leave this place," Echo says.

Before the kobold can answer, there's a crash outside of the tent and someone swears loudly. "Intruders!" a voice calls out. "We've got intruders in the camp!"
