CH 2: The Search for More Money

[xelphyn]

"No need, I have everything I need for the moment." Dahn says, as he grabs a piece of the bread.
"You're right, it is pretty good-Where'd you go, anyway? Any luck finding your elven friend?

[Jenara]

"No luck, but I checked where the bodies were left, I saw fresh blood and someone was watching me." Arei answers the Gnome first, before looking directly at the young Cleric.

"The ruins sound like a good scouting mission, a good chance to make connections in this land..." She tears off some more bread. "Then I am unsure what to do, perhaps we should decide as a group, although we have an uneven number do we not?"

"I would like to investigate these murders, if only to prove to the Wardens that I am not useless." She comments to the group.

[Breila]

"The wardens? What are the wardens to you? You are not a citizen of this country" Ouragana asks in surprise.

[Jenara]

"They are.. They judge others yet are unable to help those they are here to save." She answers Ourgana, "They will never solve this, and I am not sure Tia has the skills to do so alone."

[HorizonsDream]

"The murders will still be here when we get back," Jocelyn points out. "And you don't know the bounty hunter, so how do you know she doesn't have the skills?" she asks. "As for the wardens, they might see it as us trying to make them look bad."

[JadedDM]

As the party talks and discusses their options, Noah steps downstairs, stretching and yawning. Rubbing at his bald held, he waddles over to their table. "Good morning, all," he says, despite the fact that it is now lunchtime.

[Jenara]

"Yes they will.." Arei ponders, "I will most likely go with the group if you choose to go to the ruins." She responds to Jocelyn, "As for Tia I am guessing, she has been up to this for weeks now, and has no results, the same with the Wardens."

[Nuke]

Val listens to both sides carefully before deciding. She feels the murder thing is all just talking to people so she speaks up "Me vote ruins."

"Well, I honestly doubt we'd be able to solve this chain of murders over night, and besides, I bet there's a lot of old knowledge hidden in the ruins." Dahn notes in.

[Breila]

"I would very much like a chance to expand my knowledge of ancient history, and exploring what people left behind is said to be the best way to do so" Ouragana says in a very learned manner. "That said, I vote for the ruins as well."

[Jenara]

"Then the course is set." The Elf places her arms on the table, "While we have no connection to each other, there is safety in numbers. I will accompany you, you may need my blade."

"So we keep our rooms tonight, and set off in the morning?" Looking at Jocelyn she adds. "I trust you have connections." Realising she had yet to greet the Halfling she raises her hand. "Good afternoon Master Noah."

[JadedDM]

"Hmm? What? 'Master?' Ah, my proper title is 'Pastor.' I assure you, I am no master of anything," Noah says. "So what's all this then? Off on another adventure, are you?"

[Jenara]

"Sorry, Pastor." Arei gives a little snort and adds. "We are going to check the ruins."

[HorizonsDream]

"I will tell the Kohen that we will help him, "Jocelyn said before she turns her attention to Noah. "Afternoon. I guess ya finally decided to wake up, huh?"

[JadedDM]

Noah nods to Jocelyn. "I thought I'd get an early start today. Maybe do a little fishing over by the pier."

Brock limps over to their table. "Well, kids, it's check-out time. Are you turning in your keys or staying for another night?"
