Hey guys, sorry I've disappeared. I meant to warn you that I was going on vacation, but I forgot. I'm sitting in a hostel in southern China right now, and I'm about half way done with my trip. I'll be back early in February, probably on the the fourth or fifth.

Bloody thing timed out on me again just now, but I had done like Jen does, and was working on my post in MSWord instead of here, so I didn't lose anything.

I have been looking for a week for a particular image, but can't find one online, so I am forced to describe it.

There is a movie called "The Naked Gun" (a silly comedy in the spirit of "Airplane!") starring Leslie Neilson as a bumbling police detective. There is a scene in that movie where the police have recovered a body floating in the harbor and the homicide detective, played by Neilsen, arrives to inspect the scene where the body was found.

When he arrives, there are two policemen sitting in a rowboat a few feet off the edge of the pier, and next to the boat is a chalkline like the outline cops draw to mark the location of a corpse, but it's floating on the water.

That's all I could picture when I read Jen's request.

Glad you found it funny, and yes it was a stupid request.

Was trying to find something for Angel to do...
I shall say no more...

I never said it was a stupid request. :)

There could be a very valid reason for checking out the location where the body was found. I mean, there could be a shipwreck at the bottom of the sea and this could be a dead crewman from said ship, or something similar. Not far fetched at all.

The chalkline on the water was just the first thing I thought of at the time.

You know, in the movie that plays in my head, that exchange would have gone as follows:

Daos steps forward, his mouth becoming a thin, straight line. "Master Fraso, are you alright?" he asks.

"Why? What have you heard"

Sorry, folks - just had two rough weeks at work and two art projects at home at the same time. No time for much else.
Finished the artwork in time for the event last Saturday, and the work work continues.
I'll be posting tonight or tomorrow.

[OOC] You are in town. Things like mounts tend to take care of themselves in town, unless there is some particular reason to be concerned with them (like riding in to a town under siege, where a horse it good eatin', or something like that). Kind of like how you never see Indiana Jones park his car, or Bruce Wayne pick up his dry cleaning.[/OOC]
