Van reveals his light... the Staff is shoved into the darkness. Shuttered to shine straight ahead at the foe.

It's like daylight in there now. Van will bark out a mystical saying, "Chan-RA-MELAKOTH!!" just scare the goblins.. hopefully.

Linar moves to unblock the 1' wide passageway. He goes a few feet to his SW, putting him due S of the most N goblin and E of the most S goblin and let's fly with a cloud spray getting as many foe as possible prioritising from the left/West (ie nearest the gong.) The 5'x5'x20' wedge may get all of them..

"Coming through."

Nocturno will charge into the room to engage the northern most goblin, on the immediate right of the opening.

[OoC: Assuming I am understanding what Linar is doing right, I should be on the opposite side of the room from the colour spray. Also horrible on knowing if I will get an attack on the goblin. Time for that to roll?]

Initiative for the combat: Initiative: [1d10] = 1

Longsword(18): [1d20] = 13 [1d8] = 2

Linar slips forward in the confusion and draws out a pinch of multicolored sand. He quickly recites his spell and blows the sand from his open palm into the air. It fans out in a dazzling cascade of intense, sparkling, rainbow-hued light! The three caught in the field of brightness stand shocked for an instant before dropping unconscious to the ground!

Katten steps out of the hall and begins to load another arrow as Dran moves to protect her. Charging down the hallway, Nocturno turns to his right and assaults the goblin in the corner! He scores a shallow hit with his longsword, but it is enough to end the emaciated goblin's life. Garroth scrambles forward on hands and knees as quickly as he can; finally reaching the end of the corridor where he can stand and ready his bow.

Behind him Vanidur and Elden hurry forward, trying to get past the Minotaur but unable! The last goblin standing finally shakes off his shock and turns as if to flee northward!

[Actions and initiative?]
====
The goblin with the black dot by Nocturno is dead. The little 'Z's indicate an unconscious goblin.

Linar moves SW and casts Color Spray at G1, G4 and G5 (fewer HD than caster. no Save!)

G1, G4 and G5 pass out!

Katten moves SW and prepares to fire her Longbow.
Dran moves to protect her.

Nocturno moves down the hall (40') and North (10') to attack G3 (half his movement so he can still attack)
Nocturno slashes with his Longsword at G3
Thac0 18 vs AC 6 (+1 to hit for surprise) : need 11 or higher
[1d20] = 13 hit! For [1d8] = 2 dmg.
G3 Dies!

Garroth squeezes down the narrow tunnel on hands and knees (1/3 movement: 12/3 = 4) Garroth move 40' West to the end of the hall where he can stand.
He readies his bow (he has used more than half his movement this round, so he has to wait to attack next round.)

Vanidur and Elden move up behind Garroth but cannot get past him yet.

Linar moves to intercept the remaining conscious goblin (G2), eiter placing his body between it and the gong or, if slower than the goblin, to hack at the latter before it can strike the gong.
If someone else slays that goblin (G2) before he can reach it, Linar will coup de gras the nearest unconscious goblin, turning it over first if necessary to gain a backstab.

If the group manage to secure the entry room with out alerting the goblin lair being alerted, Linar will caution the loose-tongued elf one final time, "Look, stealth is needed here and that means no unnecessary yapping."

Garroth steps out of the hall and swaps from his bow to daggers. Van draws back a slide from the end of his staff and raises it high to illuminate the chamber farther. With the light from the flare and the staff, the human Elden weaves past the minotaur with impressive speed; even moreso considering the 80 lb anvil strapped to his back! He rushes towards the goblin, but the green-skinned humanoid evades his attack.

Nocturno rushes over to help corner the goblin, swinging wildly at the creature. He puts his full weight behind the blow, but mis-judges his aim badly and his longsword slips free and clatters against the wall nearby! Finally readying his daggers, the Minotaur hurls one of the blades at the hemmed-in goblin. The throw is incredibly powerful, but the allies surrounding the creature cause him to miss! The dagger strikes the wall with a loud clang!

Linar draws his longsword and moves to join the fray. Sidling up next to the human he picks his moment carefully and slashes the creature attempting to escape in the neck! The goblin clutches at its own throat, unable to cry out, before falling to the ground in a heap.

With the melee over, Nocturno, Linar and Elden suddenly hear more goblin voices to the north!

Nocturno claps a single sharp clap. "More." and points northward, ashe retrieves his fallen sword.

He will mumble under his breath:
"A drow no less"

He will prepare to recieve any more goblin scum.
