"Angel has gone to fetch Master Fraso. Him being an expert on undead creatures, it might be a good idea to discuss the situation with him? In a quiet place? With the refreshments you offered earlier?" Liri looks at the two commanders to gauge their reaction. "The immediate danger seems to be over for now, and we can make plans."

[OOC] Jen - please jump to
Angel at the gateyard (private thread for Jenara)
=================================================================
The legionnaires do not respond at all to Galanis - even if they were feeling chatty, the presence of their commander would be cause for silence. Instead they stand ready, watching their sectors while stealing occasional glances at their commander and chaplain.
=================================================================
Liri walks up to the two of them and begins speaking. The effect is amazing. The priest stops shouting and stares at her, stunned that she would have the audacity to interrupt him. Tanulan actually cracks a small smile at the sight of it.
"We shall take steps," the priest says, quietly, and then walks away.
Once he is out of earshot, Tanulan says: "That was impressive. Perhaps it would be to my benefit to keep you around, for such moments as this."
He walks past the burning ruin, and addresses the nearest
decanus. "How many did we lose, Fee?"
"Two that I know of, Primus, and they have been dealt with. One more is badly injured and may not survive."0
"How many townsfolk."
"Not sure. I saw two go down in pieces. One went down fairly whole, but some woman took her head off after she rose, before we could stop her."
"Pass the word. Oldest and youngest man from each squad are on guard. The rest, search the streets for injured or dead. Go."
The situation handled, Tanulan walks back to Liri. "I suppose time has come to sort you out. Where are the rest?"

Galanis moves closer to Tanulan and says, "Hi Primus, kinda funny nickname. We asked around but didn't get anything from your men. What do you do with the contained townfolk? and what is the source of these attacks?"
==========================================
(OOC: Is Primus something like general in Roman or Greek armies?)

Ari listens to the conversation concerning 'containment' closely. Though he has been here a week or so this is the first he has heard of this.

[OOC]"Primus" is
primus pilum or "first spear," the senior centurion in a legion.
Do you want to edit your post? If so, I will wait. [/OOC]

(OOC: Would Galanis know the meaning of the name? If he would then just omit the 'funny nickname' part, otherwise not. I hope he won't get insulted. I think by the attitude of Galanis anyone can see he doesn't mean insult. He is open friendly and nice and jokes a lot)

Liri answers Tanulan. "As I said, Sir, Angel - the woman your man mentioned - has gone to fetch Master Fraso. He is an expert necromancer and has been investigating the appearance of undead creatures in several places in this region. So he would be valuable in any counsel dealing with this matter. As for the others of my group, they should all be around here... and we have a newcomer, too." She gestures towards Ari with her hand.

[OOC] Anyone who has had much contact with the military would probably know that primus is a rank. At the very least, anyone who has spent time in the empire would know that primus means "first". [/OOC]

Tanulan gives Galanis a sideways glance, his expression dismissive. He does not deign to reply, and instead turns to Liri when she speaks.
"Yes, the necromancer. We have been expecting him.
"Gather your people and bring them to the sindaco's villa. We shall speak there. You can bring the priest.
Tanulan indicates Galanis with a quick nod of his head, and says to Liri: "And get that man's wounds tended before you come." Then he walks away, bloody sword still in hand, taking reports from various junior officers who rush up to him as he walks.

Liri nods to the rest of the group. "Come on, you heard him. Let's tend to the man, then gather everyone and go back to the wagon. So we can go to the sindaco's house together."

[OOC] Apologies for any confusion. When Tanulan said "that man" he was talking about was Galanis, who took quite a bit of damage during the zombie fight, and looks a mess at the moment.
I have tweaked my post to make that more clear.
I mean, we can't have Galanis bleeding on the sindaco's table now, can we?
Angel could probably use some bandaging up as well. She's got a few bite and claw marks on her leg.[/OOC]
His life saved by Ari's timely healing, the injured husband is now being tended to by his neighbors, who pretty much pick him up and carry him away. The neighbors are giving Liri and Galanis some fairly dark looks, but haven't said anything.
The bucket brigade, which scattered when the house collapsed, reforms at about half strength to continue pouring lake water onto the still burning ruins.

For the first time since he took distance from the zombies attacking them, Galanis stops to look at his own body. Indeed he is injured pretty hard. He dusts off his shoulders and sleeves and assesses the damage.

Ari walks over to Galanis, I'll lend ye a hand if'n ye wist. the dwarf says, gesturing to his wounds. Sticking a heavily muscled hand out he continues, We didnae have time to meet proper afore. Arinthulkinzone, but ye can call me Ari fer short. If Galanis permits, Ari will cast Cure Light Wounds on him.

"Nice to meet you Arinthulkinzone. I'm Galanis but my friends call me Mule." Galanis smiles and holds firmly the dwarf hand. "I'd appreciate your healing, I haven't noticed how bad it is." Galanis says. After being healed Galanis asks, "Does your name have a special meaning?"

Just as Galanis speaks the waggon appears, Praesul trots along to the side his head raised, seeing the other horses he lets out a loud neigh and a snort.
"We have problems." Angel announces flatly, a worried look across her brow. "Master Fraso is missing, as are the others." And it was her fault. Again. "They were attacked, I found the body of a townsperson who had obviously been.. transformed. "
