Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"Well, I'm sorry if that disappoints you, but it is her relatives that we are looking for, yes" Ouragana says.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Val responds. "Fish and rice and veggies for me, and a pitcher of ale." she orders, and adds a bit too late. "Thanks."

Jocelyn, Andar, Val and Baeros (Restaurant, Queen of Harts)
The server takes Val's order down, and Andar's as well (he orders shrimp and rice). He informs Baeros that they have any kind of fish he can name.
Areilon and Ouragana (South Guild Jewelry Shop)
"Relatives?" the dwarf asks. "She didn't have any family, not that I know of, at any rate. I think that's why she packed up and left town. I heard she was heading to some village on the southern coast...I forget it's name. Candleville, or something. You might still find her there, if she ever made it. Seems to me that if she had any family or friends in the city, she'd have stayed with them."

Saren raises a brow. "How odd. Surely you would not be a pastor if there was any doubt on that front, yes?"Jocelyn wrote:"I was there to be tested to see if I understood the teachings of Octhanus well enough. I'm not sure why the others were there, but we teamed up."

Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"There is plenty of doubt when it comes to me," Jocelyn admits. She takes a moment to order her own food, the same that Saren has actually before she turns back to him. "Giving me my own little shrine and making me a pastor is also a test. They made that quite clear."
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Val uncharacteristically volunteers some additional information. "I meet these gals and they seemed to me like they might needs some help. They were friendly enough so we adventured a bit. After a while we kinda took a break but happened to be reunited after a while, and so here we are."
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Ouragana gives a sad little nod. "Yes, she seemed to be lonely" she says. "Do you happen to know where she lived? Maybe her neighbours know more" she asks.

"You know what? I'll pass the fish. But I'd like also a plate of fruits. So it is mash potatoes, salad, nuts and fruits. And beer. Got it all?" feeling Hopper brush his leg, than Takit tail knock on his chair he adds fondly while looking and gesturing with his hand to the dogs, "Oh, and two slices of raw meat for my chubby little boys."

Jocelyn, Andar, Val and Baeros (Restaurant, Queen of Harts)
"That's extremely unusual," Saren notes to Jocelyn. "Unless things have really changed since I left the church. That or they really see some kind of potential in you."
Now that the server has everyone's orders, he heads off to the kitchen.
Areilon and Ouragana (South Guild Jewelry Shop)
"She lived here. Well, upstairs, I mean," the dwarf explains. "Where I live now. That's why she had to leave. She sold the shop, she sold the home, too."
"You took away her business and her home?" asks Areilon in disgust.
"Whoa, whoa. We didn't 'take away' anything. She sold them to us, and we paid her a very nice price for them," the dwarf objects.

Elisa nods. "Good friends are hard to come by. Although I have to admit, I've never heard of an orc traveling with humans, much less befriending them."Val wrote:"I meet these gals and they seemed to me like they might needs some help. "I'm not sure what they see in me," Jocelyn admits with a small shrug. "I wasn't raised to believe in Octhanus. I converted just a couple of years ago. Wait a minute, you left the church?" she asks curiously. "You can do that?"

"Or Gnolls for that matter." Val comments
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
At the shop
"Areilon, we haven't come here to talk morale" Ouragana says softly to her companion.
"Thank you for your time and information" she then says to the dwarf with a slight bow, and turns to leave the shop.

Baeros watches the conversations with some interest, but don't see any need to take part. Then he gets hungry. 'Maybe I should have ordered the fish after all...' he thinks to himself while forgetting the conversations at the table and starting to drift away in his thoughts. Regrettably he follows back their track in the jungle and the memory of Thunder's death returns to him, his features immediately turn grim.

The two step outside of the shop. "So what now?" asks Areilon. "I guess we're keeping the money then, if there is nobody to contact."
Saren laughs boisterously at her question. "But of course. What did you think, they cut off your head if you try? The church isn't a den of pirates, after all. That's why my title is 'friar.' Friars do not operate within the confines of the church hierarchy, but are free agents of Octhanus."Jocelyn wrote:"You can do that?"
"True enough," Elisa agrees.Val wrote:"Or Gnolls for that matter."

"I think we should try the neighbours first, they might know something the buyer of the house doesn't" Ouragana says and looks at the houses next door. "But otherwise I agree with you."
