Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Responding to Tulbas' first point about Daxia trusting the party, Gregeddin adds, "One the other hand, the knowledge that her death is imminent could push her to desperately trust anyone offering escape or salvation. And that would be us lot."
"I can read" Gregeddin chimes in, "And my writing is rather good actually"

Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Kynaston holds up his hands. "Uh, no thanks, I just ate, too."
While Gregeddin, Haahqae and Tulbas discuss things, the door knocks and Kynaston answers it, letting Kendra inside. "Everyone's here but Darga now. We're just getting started, you haven't missed much," he tells the Holy Guard.

Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Kendra nods in understanding to Kynaston as she steps inside. She glances around at everyone before she takes a seat on the floor to listen to what everyone has to say.
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Tulbas considers the gnome answer. 'Not the reaction I had expected. I was sure he would jump on the opportunity to search information in the library, especially with all those leads I had given.'
"Good morning." Tulbas nods politely towards Kendra standing officially, his discomfort shows clearly.
Feeling quiet anxious to continue with the rescue mission, but preferring to avoid taking actions before the others, Tulbas shifts nervously in his place while waiting for the last member of the group.

Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
It seemed that Tulbas had missed Gregeddin's intended point, so to quell the silence he continues, "If Haahqae is to go inside the cult, then I can lead the written research."
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Tulbas looks at Gregeddin somewhat insulted, "Good. When Darga arrives we should decide who joins me into the ranks of the cult and what will the others do. Kendra, if you could think of any way that I'll get a chance to speak with Darewind, that would be great."
Tulbas shifts in his position again. "Shouldn't Darga arrive by now? When have any of you seen him last?"
================================================================================
OOC: Tulbas haven't miss Gregeddin intention, he is just terrified with the idea of the 'too talkative'/'nosy' gnome running loose in the cult ranks.

"Agreed. The last I saw of Darga was last night leaving Raetmal's shop. He seemed fine, maybe he has sought a doctor for his wounds before coming to meet us?"

"Well, considering that I wasn't fired as expected," Kendra says. She doesn't hide the fact that she is annoyed by this development. "Considering my wounds, I might be able to convince my commanding officer to put me on prisoner detail," she says.
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Tulbas eyes widen at Kendra's suggestion. "That would be great. I suspect he is a fraud, but before blaming him, I would like to hear his own explanations. It might be fate that you didn't get fired after all." he says with a comforting smile.
After hearing Gregeddin Tulbas looks at the others waiting to hear if they have seen Darga afterwards.

OOC: JadedDM, How long are we waiting by now?

Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
"That all sounds good to me," Kynaston says. "So me and Haahqae go with Tulbas, Kendra goes to Darewind, and Gregeddin does research. Is that right?"
===========
(OOC: At this point, Darga is about half an hour late.
Although, djhyland hasn't logged in nearly a week. Possibly real life has bogged him down. Or maybe he's mad about getting robbed, and isn't coming back. Either way, we might have to proceed without him.)

"by that would be good fortune if you could see darewind! If you see him though, I think it would be better to keep it secret that.we intend to expose him as a fraud. He might be overly cautious if he knows..."
Gregeddin nods at Trench affirming his plan.

Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
"Um, it would be down right stupid to mention exposing him as a fraud," Kendra says.
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
Tulbas looks at Kendra and Gregeddin completely shocked. "Obviously I won't tell him I suspect him. More over, I sincerely want to hear his explanation as I hope he is not a fraud. I suggest that Kynaston and Haaque will join me now. Kendra can check if she can get the prisoner shift, and Gregeddin, you can wait here for Darga and once he arrives you two can work together on the research. As I said there are several items you can start with: Fistandantilus obviously, Powerful Black mages, life span extension, Palanthas Tower masters, the last Kingpriest Beldinas Pilofiro advisers, Istar, the war the hill dwarfs had against Thorbardin the battle at Zhaman, and Skullcap." Tulbas waits to see if Gregeddin got it all. Then he looks at Kynaston and Haaque, "Now we have to agree on a story how did we came to know each other and why do you want to join the cult. We should keep it simple for complex lies tend to be exposed quickly."
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
"That one seems simple enough," Kynaston says. "We're disenfranchised, poor refugees who want change. Isn't that pretty much the standard reason for wanting to join?"Tulbas wrote:"Now we have to agree on a story how did we came to know each other and why do you want to join the cult. We should keep it simple for complex lies tend to be exposed quickly."
Re: CH. 3 - Mages, Mages Everywhere
"Oh that's easy. I'm joining the cult because I'm a seeker. Not some person from a washed up has been political group but a true seeker of the true gods. I'm angry at how little progress the so called 'seekers' have made over the years and I hear this master figure sounds promising, possibly even a true god."
