Jocelyn frowns, but stays near Val at this point.

"OK, but I smell death, not a trap." Val replies. She stands back, reading her bow and scans the undergrowth.

"Agreed.. but you can never be too sure." Arei responds, approaching with Telsa drawn motioning to Andar to do the same.

Areilon and Andar approach the woman, while the rest of the party stays back to cover them and keep an eye out for trouble.
Upon closer examination, the woman--elven of undetermined age--is clearly dead. A small cloud of flies hover over her body. She lies under a tree, her backpack propping her head up like a pillow. Her skin is gaunt and kind of shriveled, and there are large red welts all over her arms, legs and neck. Her clothing, although a bit dirty now, was once fairly fine; suggesting she was someone of moderate wealth, at least.

Ouragana looks around and up to search for possible trouble.

"I don't like this, I dont like this one bit." cursing she moves back a step. "Joyceln, she's dead, something got her, those welts look like.... I disease or something."

Jocelyn walks up to the dead body to look over the welts without touching the woman just in case it was some kind of disease. "Or really big bugs got her," she added thoughtfully.

"Giant frogs and now giant bugs.." Arei shakes her hair, "Perhaps we should lay her soul to rest..?"

"We are too far from the sea," Jocelyn says. "But it doesn't hurt to say a little prayer," she adds and does just that.

Jocelyn says her prayer over the body.
"It almost looks like she stopped to rest, and never got back up," Andar notes.

"Then we should hurry on" Ouragana observes. "Since nothing has attacked us yet, it is possible that whatever got her only attacks at night, like the smaller bugs do."

Baeros looks at the body from some distance wrinkling his nose... "Defiantly dead... We could bury her so the disease won't spread..." Then Baeros searches the perimeter checking for some suspicious tracks.

"Did anyone bring any shovels?" asks Andar.
Baeros checks the perimeter for tracks, but doesn't find any in the area.

"Or perhaps we could burn her body? My people would agree with that.. I have.." She moves closer collecting the backpack with the point of Telsa, the black blade barely reflecting the light.
"I have to find out who she is, a desire if you will, perhaps this will tell me."
