"I know of them," the waiter says. "The family of the first victim left town shortly after the incident. Can't say I blame them. The families of the second and third victims still are in town, and of course, Maronna's only family was her father, Brock." He gives directions to the families of the second and third victims.

"Then you should go with Oura to talk to them. Val and I will go to the Windmill and the other inn. And Maybe the lighthouse." Arei suggests.

Ouragana thanks the waiter and comes back to the table to hear Arei's remark. She looks at Jocelyn. "What do you think?" she asks.

"Well, I guess splitting up is fine," Jocelyn says with a shrug of her shoulders. "Let's go. I don't want to sit here talking about it until the curfew sets in again."

"You are right" Ouragana answers. "So let's set out and pay a visit the first family, the one that lives closest, shall we?"
Ouragana leaves her bedroll and backpack in the inn, but tucks her quill and a papyrus sheet into her sash, the ink and some money into her components bag. "Remind me to buy a money bag" she tells Jocelyn as they leave the inn.

Ouragana leaves behind her backpack in her room, which includes most of her gear, including her weapons, potion and spellbook. She and Jocelyn then head toward the home of the second victim. It's a run-down shack in the poorer district of the town.

Meanwhile, Val and Areilon head to the mill...only to find the whole section has been fenced off by the Wardens. The area is heavily guarded by them, and they do not allow anyone approach.

Ahem... I don't think anyone would keep their weapon in a backpack. It's much too hard to retrieve in case of an attack. So I didn't mention she takes the dagger. With the potions and spellbook, you are correct.

(OOC: Both of her daggers are listed in her equipment as being in her backpack. It has no effect on initiative, though. Where does she keep them then?)

"Just like I expected, they will guard the Mill because they feel they can learn something." She shakes her head, "Fools."

"So. That way is blocked, I want to find out if Tia has been seen at the Barnacle inn, and perhaps get to the Lighthouse."

"Strangely, this reminds me of home," Jocelyn says softly as she knocks lightly upon the door of the second victim.

While Val and Areilon head for the Barnacle Inn, Jocelyn knocks on the door of the second victim's family's house.

The door swings open, and a rather ugly man steps forward. "What is it?" he demands sourly. He looks at Jocelyn's acolyte garb. "Come proselytizing for some new faith? I ain't interested!"

"No," Jocelyn says. "We were hoping you would be willing to answer a few questions about the murders that are happening around here. We heard that this is the home of one of the victims."

OOC: Back...sorry for the absence

Val approaches the guards at the mill, she has nothing in her hands.

"Can we look around?" She asks.

Jocelyn and Ouragana
"Ha!" the man says. "That's right, my wife was the second victim. Not that anyone gave two shits at the time. It wasn't until the murderer started targeting dwarves that the Wardens paid it any mind. I heard the most recent victim was the warden captain's niece. So no wonder that now everyone's so interested in catching him. Bah!"

Areilon and Val
"This is the site of an official warden investigation," says one of the guards. "Civilians are not to interfere. Please be on your way."

"Civilians?" Arei responds with a smile, "Good luck, I wish we could help." She flips back her hair.
