I'm back now. Sorry about that, I lost internet and it took forever to isolate the problem and then remedy it.

Was Elias just inside Lee Harvey Oswald? Or similar...? I expect he'll solve the problem.. And maybe the next Leap, will be the Leap home!!

According to Ziggy, there's a 87.4% chance of that happening if Elias puts right what once went wrong.

Oh this is one of those moments when OCC knowledge could affect IC actions...
I know the answer to the question, however Angel knows nothing of the sea, so I can't answer.. I'm guessing Daos or Bastian might...

This is one of those situations that comes up in PBMB. At a tabletop game it would take two seconds to determine whether Bastian was willing to accept the challenge. In PBMB time, that could take days. I assumed that he would, because you have the whole party
and the internet at your disposal to answer the question. And because the price of failure is not
too high.

And here we have an example of a player being waaaay too honest.

Really, had you PMed the answer to one of Ish or one of the others, I'd have had no way of knowing.

I am what I am... Tying to stay IC, seen far too many munckins lately... Ask Talyn when he gets on board...
If I meet one more grumpy introverted Cleric / Druid,... I swear I'll scream!

Lol. I think I need to point out IC thoughts and OOC thoughts when I type, eh? Those were Bastian's thoughts, not my own. His answer stands, and I answered as honestly as I could in character. I DID receive the answer and I COULD have looked it up online, but at the same time, did Bastian know that? No, probably not. The only interaction that he's had with sailors has come in the form of rabble rousing in bars and taverns. In his time spent there, he's not hear them use the term "Rope".

In a similar "trick question" vein:
How many kings have been crowned King of England since the Norman Conquest?

That's a good question. I can think of several Edwards and Georges, but I'm not sure if they were actually crowned king....

Actually Kings / Queens aren't my specialty! I did geography instead!!
I think the answer is none... not sure why
Talyn's sheet should be with you soon, or so i'm told...

Delete this post if I'm not allowed here...
None of the Kings of England were kings before they were crowned, weren't they? Even William the Conqueror was "only" Duke of Normandy before he was crowned King of England! A few of the Henrys called themselves Kings of England and France, but as far as I know, they were always first crowned as Kings of England - and not recognized by most French. So I agree with Jenara, the answer should be "none".

Its not a matter of being "allowed"...! Every forum should be set up as read only to the users of the fourm only... But hey ho, no problem..
Doubt anyone minds, but i'll proably change the settings at some point.
Thanks for the agreement!

Much like Bastian, you are all off by ONE.
True, it is Princes and Dukes who are typically crowned King of England. But there was one man crowned King of England who was already a king. King James VI of Scotland was crowned James I of England.
