When Sue joins him, he'll show him the scroll seal and contents when they are nor ubder the gaze of their escort. Otherwise he'll pocket it and show him later.

[So did the locker contain the scroll only? Was there any other part? I'm a little confused]

====
The scroll is of high quality parchment and is sealed with an unusually yellow wax. The wax is indented with the likeness of some kind of bird.
Nix does not recognize the bird. Someone else might have more success.

In the privacy of a changing room, cracking open the scroll, Nix sees a flowing, educated hand, possibly that of one accustomed to writing elven script: "You missed the handover payment. He is displeased. It went ahead. Bring the missing Moon with the Moon for next handover, down below as usual, day before party."

The locker contains:
a blue, almost transparent, silk cloak with fine silver chain stitched along the collar and shoulders.
a sheathed dagger
a red silk outfit, troos, shirt, cloak & mask.
a black cotton mask.
a small bundle of leather straps and wooden pegs.

Nix bundles it all together in the non-transparent silk cloak, turned so the expensive fabric doesn't show. Let us rejoin Alecia outside and make our determinations about how to procede from there. He says, handing the bundle over to his 'bodyguard'

Unless Sue or Nix wish to do anything else en route, both return to Alecia outside the Lantern. Sue has no problem carrying the locker items.

Sue will nod affirmative with a small grunt.

The trio meet up outside, Sue carrying an armload of stuff that Alecia hasn't seen before.
Seven bells sounds.

"I'm sorry." Alecia comments in a small voice, "What did you find?" She asks, trying to resist falling into Nix's arms.

Nix lays an arm comfortingly about her shoulders. You ok? he asks, rubbing her back snd watching her expressiin with concern. Sorry, that place was probably way too much for you... i know you're strong, but.. well... in a way you've been sheltered from a lot of that kind of thing... I'm not used to those kind of places either... I just had to bluff our way through a bit. This is apparently a bunch of stuff from the... previous tenant. There was a note too. Maybe we should discuss this elsewhere...

Suddenly Nix recalls the earlier encounter. Ummm... i wonder if we could take a detour? Nix will want to try to go back to the market area where he lost sight of the Sylvan earlier.

"Well that almost got interesting." Sue will stuff the things in his pack.

"Let's find somewhere with some table space, and maybe a meal on the way."

"Im just a simple cleric. Such things are beyond me." Alecia sighs and takes his hand."Detour?" She motions to Sue. "Maybe later?"

"What did was in there?" She asks the Watchman with interest.

The reunited trio leave the neighbourhood of the Hanging Lantern. No one appears to pay any heed.

Headed where?

"A few things," he will list them off quickly.

"a blue, almost transparent, silk cloak with fine silver chain stitched along the collar and shoulders.
a sheathed dagger
a red silk outfit, troos, shirt, cloak & mask.
a black cotton mask.
a small bundle of leather straps and wooden pegs."

"I could meet you at your apartment at 8 bells. I could use dinner, but I would like to know if you have anything else, like that key... He will sigh, "We could compare notes, so to speak."

"An interesting list." Alecia muses, "What would one do with such things? It almost sounds like a pantomine of a thief, you know the ones you hear of in the stories." She comments. "And the Key.. Um.. I found it just as I went to look, I put it somewhere safe, and I forgot it." She admits with a blush.

"Dinner? What do you think Nixie?" Nudging up to him she grins.

A 'costume' of some kind. he muses. Sure, dinner sounds good... I have an errand to run, though... umm... unless you can help with that? he half-asks. I'm supposed to, uh, meet this Sylvan... he's new to town i guess... I saw him earlier but i lost him in the crowd. He had a bunch of kids with him... i think he needs my help with something.the tiefling says. Do guar... umm. Do your 'guildsmen' keep a record of who enters the city and where they plan to stay?

[Would nix know any of that?]

The City Guard would not routinely keep such a record. They are essentially a standing army and have an outward focus and man the gates and walls. They also have authority in the sewers but defer to the City Watch for other internal matters unless a Magister or Masked Lord decrees otherwise.

The City Watch would have no knowledge of a given visitor unless they misbehave in some way or have previous 'form'. The street urchins can be a source of information.
