Outside:
Mira makes her way to the West side of the house, staying near the wall. Her invisibility and the lack of first-floor windows on this side let her move quickly across to the opposite door.

Cross rushes up to the house, while Jerry uses the barn for cover. Listening at the barn door she hears no noise inside. However, a voice from the air on the north side calls to her. Jerry! Merrick whispers hoarsely, Mira went to the other door. Something is going on in there.

Elsa hustles up towards the house too. She hesitates between following Cross or Jerry, but settles for taking up a position against the southeast corner of the house, peeking around the corner at the side door.


Inside:
With the wolves clearly dead, Artanis and Pyros move forward. They hardly have ti,e to do anything when the Eastern door explodes open with a loud crash. A dark, familiar figure looms in the doorway, nesrly filling it... the wolf-man from last night!

Mira reaches the West entryway just after a second the crashing sound, to find Pyros and Artanis standing over the bodies of two dead wolves with the Wolf-man beyond!

Pyros will use the stones from Elsa.

[Med sized creature, though at the top of the range for it. About 6'8", the height of a doorway. The bottom of Large range is 7 feet]

Moving in through the doorway Mira takes position ready to combat any spell it might cast, knowing it could cause serious damage, but in the back of her mind she readies magic missiles at the creature if it attacks.

"Thanks Merrick. I'll go help. If you and Cross can cover the front door and any exits on the north side?" returns Jerry, who then sprints across the open ground to tray and catch up with Mira and see how she can help, pausing only for long enough to put up a Prot Evil.

Artanis with already drawn weapons is going to close to engage in melee with the creature, grunting as he does so. "Let's give hairy a close shave."

Game Mechanics:

In Game Attack with +1 Longsword: [1d20+1] = 7+1 = 8
In Game Attack Silvered Longsword Off hand: [1d20-2] = 16-2 = 14 (This roll reflects his off hand penalty if that still applies)
Damage Silvered Longsword S/M: [1d8] = 5 Damage for silvered longsword if hit

Mira braces herself, watching for the creature to make the first move. Pyros loads up one of his magical stones and whips it at the beast as it reaches for something near the stone fireplace. The sling stone smacks the beast in the side of the head, eliciting a fierce growl. It raises the retrieved object, an iron fireplace poker, and rushes at Artanis!

The bard's spell fires off quickly, and the redhead performer suddenly returns to view as a trio of glaring blue bolts streak forth from her outstretched hand. They snake around Artanis, striking the hairy attacker in the chest. The blow staggers him somewhat and produce snapping sounds that can only be breaking ribs! In pain and fury it clubs at the ranger with the iron poker, catching him hard across the chin! Savage jaws crunch down on Artanis' shoulder and upper chest; teeth punching through the leather armor and sinking deep into him.

Groaning in pain, the druid slashes at his attacker with his magical sword. The beast releases him in time to dodge the cut; Artanis' own blood streaming from cruel looking teeth. A reflection of silver light crosses the creature as Artanis' second sword lands squarely across its chest! The sharp blade slides cleanly over the hide, not even drawing blood!

Outside jerry pauses to sprinlle a few drops of holy water in a circle about her. Saying a quick prayer, a bluish ring glows around her before fading from view. The cleric-mage rushes to the sound of combat just in time to see the Creature clamp down on Artanis! The ranger seems to be barely keeping his feet! Pyros winds up another shot, but the second stone sails wide of the mark.

Since Artanis is a ranger (already trained in 2-wep fighting) amd has been practicing with dual LS in-game, we can go ahead and say the nwp is automatic, so no penalty for his offhand.

[Lol. Ranger-Man and Kender-boy face the Wary Hair-Beast of Ravenloft! Will the Musical Mira, Cleric Greystar, Hesitant Halfling, Magical Merrick, and Dagger Mage extraordinaire be able to lay him low!? Tune in next round! (Or the next... or the next... or...)]

Mira (ready) sees he is entering combat and casts Magic Missile at the Wolfman.
Mira's Invisibility ends!

Mira L5 MM vs Wolfman [3d4+3] = 11+3 = 14 damage!
The Wolfman is Hurt Badly!

Jerry tries to surge forwards and engage the wolfman.
If it's still in melee and she can reach it, barging through the doorway if necessary, with an "Eep, sorry!" to Mira, she tries to close and hit it with her mace, but otherwise it gets 3 magical stones.

Getting ready to draw her blade Mira moves to the left and lets loose her second round of magic missiles.

"Artanis, disengage!" She screams, as the magical bolts shoot from her fingers once more.

Pyros shoots the 3rd magic stone, then a silvered bullet.

Staggering from the repeated blows, the ranger has very limited options available: falling back invites an attack, he has a weapon in each hand so he cannot use his curative magic, so his only option is to press the attack. Weakened and bleeding the ranger presses on with his attacks.

Elsa hears Pyros’ distressed call and tries the door. The portal proves locked, so she backs up a few steps. Raising her shield to her shoulder, the small cleric charges at the poorly maintained door. With a loud Crack! the lock-side jamb of the door splits and she is able to pull it open!

The wolf creature’s ears flick back at the sound of breaking wood, but he doesn’t turn his attention from his prey. Each member of the group presses the attack, but Mira’s spell is quicker. Three more bolts of magical force whiz unerringly past the Ranger to their target. The flash blinds Artanis for a moment, but as his eyes clear he sees the massive creature panting heavily before him. The face slackens and almost too-slowly the body topples backwards to the cabin floor.

Elsa emerges from the far door. She takes one look at Artanis and skirts around the creature to reach him. Hold still, I’m going to patch you up, ok?

A moment later, the body of the fallen wolf-thing begins to distort and morph. Cracking bone and sinew can be heard as it collapses in on itself, the coarse hair seeming to draw back into it. The disturbing sight almost identical to the creature Jaconos’ transformation in the jail. It eventually resolves into the figure of an incredibly handsome looking man in his mid thirties. He bears jet-black hair and those local blue-violet eyes. Eyes that stare lifeless now at the ceiling above a mouth and jaw still slathered with the ranger’s blood.

A moment later The party hears footsteps from the other room and Merrick’s disembodied voice emerges, Is… is that the same one…? Cross enters the house as well through the newly broken door.

Elsa hears Pyros and tries to open the door [locked]. So she tries to break it down [door jamb in poor repair so normal Open Doors roll required]
[1d20] = 3, Pass!
Elsa breaks the door open!

Mira moves 5 feet North and casts Magic Missile at the Wolfman.

Wolfman Magical Resistance:
Wolfman MR% [1d100] = 40, Fail!
Magic Missile does [3d4+3] = (3+4+3) = 10 damage!
The Wolfman Dies!

Hooking her mace to her belt, Jerry starts to try and fix Artanis, unless Elsa is better at that.. {Healing 12 + herbalism 17}.
Either way, she follows up with a CLW, adding,"Will someone keep an eye on the other doors, please?"

"Well.." Mira pants, nearly falling to her knees, "That was difficult, dammit Artanis, we need you." She adds as she moves herself over to the wolfman, prodding him with her blade just to make sure he was dead.

"Yes Merrick, its the same creature, when they die I suppose they turn back to who they were. Whoever this person happens to be." Thinking quickly she starts making suggestions, "Elsa can you help him, Jerry, Merrick watch the doors. Cross.. Pyros we need to search this house, find someone to figure out who this is.. We didnt travel far so its one of the houses near Ontash's so he will know who this is." Sword leveled she moves to the staircase. "Pyros help me check upstairs."
