Yes the bot flies didn't pursue after witnessing one of their brood be smashed into a bloody pulp. They flew off to impregnate others with their damn larvae.

The black guard + hobs were behind not ahead of the party's boat.

This is getting out of hand. I went to bed after work and wake up to having missed the questioning (was that on shore, on the oat, during combat or all three?) Missed combat (1 round?) A bunch of plot development...

I'm so confused. And I didn't even sleep 8 hours

I was beginning to think it was just me.
Righto, I'm off to bed now. So it'll be interesting to see which town we're in when I wake up..

@ Tristen - Synopsis: We were having a rather interesting fiar and got attacked by assassins and slavers. Still not sure if they were connected.
Just recovering from that and the local comapny of the black cloak army crept up on us forcing us to flee.
We went to the river and captured 3 black cloaks who were being unpleasant to the locals.
The druid flew off to cover our retreat but unfortunately the blackcloaks heard him say where we were to go to.
One of the people (I think the druid Trunks) said he was a Watcher and we should go to the Watcher place bu somewhere else. (Would have to look up where, but we may have arrived already, not sure).
Hopped on a boat before we could question the vlack cloaks. That's something I'm trying to do retrospectively as we move along.
Buzzed by some bot flies that flew off after we squished one of them.
Chased by some blackcloaks and hobgoblins in boats. Only the elves could see them but we shook off the former. One of the NPCs blew up the two boats of hobgoblins.
We've just arrived in another town that Karlene knows (but Chris hasn't got his head round yet.). The boat pilot offered us some stuff for saving his family (I think from balckcloaks and the botflies.)
Thats about all I can remember.

Off to bed now. cya tomorrow all

PS I think the fish was an incidental that ate the guardsman that Karlane pushed overboard. (He was already dead.)

The 2 BOT FLIES flies dispersed after Karlene's slaughtering of the one on the woman. Truth was the ship outran them simply.

And all the discourse transpires en route to Harby on board the river barge.

sorry for the jam pack just getting ready to ship out myself to the west coast, fyi.

I am having trouble keeping up also.

I frequent the boards, but I find at times I miss one or two scenes in the matter of 30 minutes.

I know it might seem inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but these are the scenes were we get to build our characters, since we are starting at proverbial level 0.

I know for sure I have missed a few details because I was scanning through things to get up to speed.

Like the 2 flies buzzing off, and the direction the bad guys were coming from.

I missed the whole explosive barrel thing, as it got all caught up in the posts.

You are painting an awesome picture, but I can struggling to see it all at the break neck speed we are headed down this river.

TBH I didn't catch anything about an explosive barrel whatsoever.

So, Idrys killing innocent people at Bortaan's urging when he's growing up in order to feed: not evil
Karlene killing a guardsman: not evil
Idrys Killing the captain working for the enemy who was sent to kill them and even after capture went on about killing them and said he didn't care if we killed his own men: Evil?

Growing up you were young and naive, didn't know any better.

Karlene executing one is fine she never promised freedom, but giving word on freedom/brokering a deal then renig on the deal and execute that man you is evil. If however you gave a fighting chance e.g. go run, pick up your sword, etc that would've been less evillll.. You can always revert back to neutral by doing less evil/more good to balance it out.

what character did during 0 level is immaterial (you were learning to deal with your vampirism at puberty when your dhampir nature came into blossom).

He'll do what he has to to protect his sister, evil or not, but Idrys never promised not to kill him. He was also not planning on killing the guard (since the guard didn't threaten Karlene). Just wanted to get your reasoning
