"I was trying to make a point, and to show off your wonderful work." She giggles slightly, her hand on Marie's.

"I'm only good because I was taught to read my audience, and to listen." Giving the girl a knowing look she adds. "I would like to think I am a good listener. I'm telling you this because I think we could be friends. And... Great dressmakers are hard to find."

Marie smiles and pats the bard's hand with her other hand. Of course, Mira. Thank you... her eyes well up a little more and she smiles. Oh, but you are going to Skald soon yes? When do you think you will be back?

[Jenara]

"Not long, a week perhaps. I want to come back Harmoina feels like home." The corners of her mouth turning upwards she wipes the girls eyes with a finger. "I'm not going just yet, something happened. So we have delayed our trip. So.. If you felt you needed to talk to someone, remember I'm here." She sits quietly, waiting to see if she responds.

Marie murmurs a quiet than you... and takes a slow breath. I think I should return home, it is getting late...

[Jenara]

"Yes it is. Do you need me to walk with you?" She asks rubbing her ankle, the memory of the wound was still there, she often felt that way after healing. (She will say no, I expect.. Posted accordingly)

"I understand, I'll talk to you soon. I think its time to go to bed." With that she stands, moving to Airand. "Meet me here at Midday tomorrow? We can go over a few songs?? You are both welcome." She suggests to the two girls before heading to bed.

Oh, that's sweet of you but no. I'll walk with Serath over there and some of the young apprentices. We should be fine. Marie says as she prepares to go.

Airand nods exictedly, as does Laisa. Azais murmurs something noncommittal, and there is a tightness to the set of her mouth.
As she leaves it seems everyone else has turned in except Cross and the staff [pending Rivi's mention or 3 days from the post in the main thread].

When she heads upstairs It seems Merrick has not come down, and the hall itself is deserted. Once to her room she finds Elsa already asleep and snoring softly. Her own bed remains a tangle of sheets from where she and the warrior spent last night... a pang of loneliness jabs her and she wonders if she looked outside would they be peering at the same cold moon...

[Jenara]

"Good night Elsa. Sweet dreams." Blowing the lovely woman a kiss she moves to the window, her eyes flit to the moon as she watches the street outside. "I hope you are ok. I sang my songs for you."

Absentmindedly she pulls of the bodice and skirt, laying them on the chair she straightens the bed, his smell was still there.. Breathing it in she slides under the cover, her hands squeezing the pillow as she sings softly..

"Darkness falls.. darkness falls.. say good night." With that the light flickers and dies.

Mira leaves her spellbook in a safe place and collects the borrowed short sword, before heading downstairs.

Mira leaves the inn her arm wrapped around Elsa as she walks. "So, I said I'd tell you, I think its funny.. See Jerry thought.." She giggles. "Me and you were a couple." She smiles, "I made it clear we aren't, but. It was funny."

Wait, what? Elsa asks incredulously. Just because we're friends? That's odd... maybe she... but did you see how Merrick was blushing?! Elsa cackles gleefully, I could have lit a campfire with his face! She giggles a little more. I dunno, maybe Jerry likes girls too? Or maybe she just doesn't have a lot of girls for friends... I guess we should be nice, though. I thought she said she was from the same place as Artanis right? And aren't he and Yasir from there too? It seems like at least some of us are from the same... places... She shakes her head, bewildered as they walk through the sparsely populated early morning streets. I wonder where Cal is from... it seems like everyone else... I just... I don't think I'm from the same place as anyone... She looks a trifle melancholy about it. You and pyros, Art and Yas and now Jerry... even Merrick knows about your homeland... It's like... her eyes shimmer a little but she scrubs the moisture away, and replaces it with a look of grim determination. It doesn't matter. I'm here now and we'll all find a way back eventually.

[Jenara]

"Because we share a room, because we are close.. And I never thought to ask. She must have assumed." Mira gives her a little pat on the shoulder. "And we did share a bed!" She winks and keeps walking.

"Personally I think you coming from somewhere.. Else is rather nice, it makes you unique." She adds with all seriousness. "I.. Am still considering staying, or pethaps going somewhere new, my life back home isn't.. Its a fight tom survive, even with the nightmares this place is better."

"OK you, where is that happy cheerful lovely girl! And what have you done with her? You are part of why I'm still sane. No tears." Wiping Elsa's tears away with her fingers she adds, "Perhaps Jerry saw how amazing and pretty you are." She winks.

Thanks, she squeezes the bard's arm gently. I guess it's different for you, though... with the war... Maybe if we find a way back you can come with me to Hilldale... there's no war there now, no dragon-people... magic isn't feared or anything... She grows silent as they cross the intersection where the near-fatal fight had taken place the night before. Patches of their blood still mar the cobbles, but a pair of workmen are scrubbing it away with pine-bristle scrub-brooms and buckets of water. The pair make their way to the jail, which appears to be open.

[Jenara]

"Have you noticed how so much here is never mentioned? It's like the monster's are real, but if no one mentions them, then they can't hurt you?" She comments as they walk past the site of last night's battle. "And would Hilldale appreciate a singer and sometimes Mage?" She asks quietly as they arrive at the Jail.

Knocking on the door she makes sure her weapons are less threatening and pushes the door open.
