Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"It doesn't look like they had any of real interest," Jasmine admits as she looks over the loot. "We can split the gold between all of us though."
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"The book is probably the most valuable thing, although I'm not entirely sure how valuable," Gaheris admits, handing it to Zurgo. "The daggers are worth about a gold a piece, if anyone wants them. The rest is worthless, and 20 gold doesn't split up very well between six people. So overall, not a great haul." He sighs. "Still wish we could have taken one alive. I want to know what they were up to. What possible purpose would there be to make cow zombies anyway?"
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
The skulls are real, made of bone. One's of a small mammal like a squirrel perhaps. The other one's of a small humanoid, perhaps it's a goblin skull.

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Jasmine picks up the daggers, figuring that she can sell them later when she gets the chance. "Don't worry about it, Gaheris," she says. "We stopped them from making cow zombies."
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"How about the rations?" asks Gaheris. "Did everyone bring enough with them? Oh, and we should probably check on the farmers who own this land. Make sure they're okay. And who knows, maybe they'll even reward us for saving their cattle."

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"more importantly we're tracking someone are we not?" Zurgo interjected.
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"Ah, the proverbial wild goose," Gaheris replies. "You really think we're going to find our culprit? All we know is he is an orc in armor...probably. Unless we happen to bump into him, holding the quill aloft while openly bragging about how he stole it, I'm not convinced we're going to have any luck at all."

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Ishan finishes fixing his gear, "I think its best we move on we don't know what evil magic has taken root here, perhaps the dwarf would like to say a prayer alas I don't know any for dead cattle."
He turns to Generics and Zurgo, "You may yet find a lead in Trevsville."
"If a war doesn't break out," he mutters to himself.
He begins walking down to the road while checking his map ensuring they are on the right path.

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"I don't know," Jasmine says as she follows after Ishan. "The orc that was described sounded as if he kind of stood out among other orcs."
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
Benji simply stood silently, listening to what his companions had to say.
Upon the talk of the orc, he spoke up, offering his two copper pieces, "If he was worth mentioning in particular once, almost certainly he will be again. Those sorts of people, those that make waves... they tend to have trouble not doing so wherever they go."

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
The party divvies up the little treasure they find and quickly checks the buildings. It doesn’t appear that anyone is home at the farm. Either they have a different farm they’re at right now, or they went on a family trip to town, possibly to sell their goods.
They then decide that it may be possible to track down this orc, he did sound rather conspicuous, and if past experiences with orcs are true, him holding up the quill and boasting about it doesn’t sound completely out of the picture. To this end they continue to Trevsville, and arrive within the hour.
Trevsville is a relatively small town, probably no more than fifty buildings total, most of them residential. It has two major streets which divide the town into four quadrants.
The North West quadrant has all of the huge public buildings. There are three of these total, the first is the barracks, which is the largest building in the town, nearly 300 ft long, and 60ft wide. It however, is only one story tall, unlike both the other buildings in this quadrant. The second building is a church, in the imperial style all religions are welcome to worship here, but in a community this small it’s likely that there’s only one religious leader. The third building is city hall, it’s two stories tall and still a good 70ft square, it no doubt doesn’t only include the mayoral office, but also various meeting rooms, administrative records the treasury and the prison.
The North East quadrant is the merchant district. There are a few different shops here of varying shapes and sizes. If one were to take a quick stroll around the small streets in this quadrant they would find signs directing them to any of the following shops: Library, two grocers, fletcher, weapon smith, armour smith, hardware store, alchemist, training grounds and a tailor.
Both southern quadrants are residential in nature. The South West being the worst off, the slums that don’t include any tall buildings and no doubt no citizens earning more than a gold a day. The South East quadrant has all the houses for the middle and upper class, some of them being two stories tall and one or two of the biggest ones have gardens. There are also inns in the residential quadrants, one per quadrant.
One thing that the party notices almost immediately when they enter the town is that most citizens they see look rather thin and pale, almost like they were severely malnourished. The puzzling part is that even some people wearing rich clothing also seem to be underfed.

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"something tell's me the farm we where at hasn't been the only one invaded..." Zurgo spoke solemnly, eyes scanning the crowd. "for now, i'm going to pay a visit to the merchant district, i'm taking the book, anyone else need it?"
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"If we're going to find this orc, we might as well ask around," Gaheris says. "The inns would be a good place to start. I think I'm going to head to the temple. Maybe I can finagle some cheap magical healing."

Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"Who wants to go to a tavern with me to ask around?" Jasmine asks.
Re: The Quest of the Missing Quill
"Taverns are generally my speed," Benji offers, producing his lute and flicking his wrist. "If nothing else perhaps I can make coin- or perhaps meet a contact. Have any of us a schedule for re-convening?"
