Locky strikes the creature Holding Shay once again, jabbing it with the spear end so to avoid hitting Shay.

Locky stabs the podman in its left leg with her hoopak's spear point. Meanwhile, Shay attempts another stab with his dagger, but is unable to hit due to the abomination's grip.

Babushka strikes again, but there isn't much force to the blow when it connects. The podman ignores her, and throws another punch at Shay, but the floating head following him accidentally gets in the way and takes the punch instead.

Locky's prayers are answered. Her next stab is the last one. The podman shudders, lets go of Shay, then collapses to the ground in a heap. The thief drops to his knees to catch his breath. Then he sheathes his dagger and picks up his sword, sheathing it, as well. "Thanks," he says as an afterthought.

"Oh, you're welcome!" Ulster replies. "Hey, I'm not a bad shot with this thing, considering I've been in this cage for a week."

Ignoring him, Shay gets back to his feet. The stone head, still wrapped in Jerrard's cloak, bobs around him. "So I take it you didn't find Jerrard and Elvenoff?" he asks.

Locky attacks Podman 05 (10+2 = 12, hit) for 5 damage. Podman 05 dies.

Combat ends.

Babushka nods, trying to speak, but her injured lip makes this difficult. She swallows, then asks Locky: "Locky, couttya tlease hatha lookat ny lit?"

Locky jumps turns the creature dies, smiling at Ulster, "Thank you for your help! Another person just helps even to distract them." She gives Merthina a smile, wiping her hoopak on the closest fallen podman. "These creatures are getting rather horrible, all yucky!"

"No, we didn't find them, but we found a gate, and then the creatures came... Ummm Shay, Can you watch the entrance? I need to check Babuskha.. Are you injured? She smiles and turns, getting the Gnome to sit on a nearby rock.

Looking closely, trying to concentrate as best she can, Locky attempts to do what she can, if Bab appears really injured she just smiles and uses cure light wounds.

"Bab, you are quite silly, you need healing. Let me heal you?" She says quietly, doing all she can. "They have been gone too long, we need to go quickly..

Shay nods and walks toward the entrance, his lantern raised and the floating stone head bobbing behind him.

Examining Babushka, Locky realizes she's taken a beating. It's not serious, but hardly nothing either. Healing of the magical or non-magical kind could be of great benefit to her.

Locky reaches into one of her pouches, retieving some of Babs own healing salve, "Sorry, but it will help." She rubs the salve into her lip, and searches for any other wounds.

After Locky patches up Babushka, Shay returns. "I'm worried those podmen came here, but the others didn't. They headed right in this direction. Were they heading here for another purpose? Or were they sent here intentionally? Jerrard and Elvenoff might be captured...or worse."

"You're not really considering leaving us alone here, undefended?" Merithina asks, an edge of fear to her voice.

"Don't worry, Meri. We won't be alone. We'll have Beardy McCrazydwarf to keep us company. Isn't that right, Beardy?" Ulster asks.

The dwarf just mumbles in incomprehensible gibberish.

"Oh, you cad. Is there anything you won't say?" Ulster continues.

"This is hardly the time for your jokes, Ulster!" Merithina chastises.

Shaking his head, Shay turns his attention to the girls. "I guess we need to make a decision then. Either I stay here, or I go with you two to find the others."

"Ohhh..." Locky places her head into her hands, "I am not used to thinking this hard!" She says a little too loudly, "I am not supposed to lead, and I don't want to leave you alone, you might get hurt."

She looks like a like a little lost girl, a little agitated too. After a few seconds, she frowns, "I hate to leave you in the dark, but we can't help you if we don't find our friends.." She says looking to Ulster and Merthien..

"I have some small vials, we have some oil, we could make some lights for you..?"
