Goldmoon gasps. A woman of the plains, she is not used to hights, let alone ropes danglig over nothingness. However, she has fear, not panic, and knowing the mob is after her helps her srew up her courage. "Show me how it is done" she says.

Laurana opens her mouth to speak, the closes it quickly. A Princess would never leave in such an undignified manner, but a grown up adventurer... She would.

"After you Chieftains Daughter." She says with a smile, letting Riverwind once again stand beside her.

Standing near the hole she expects someone to say something, to comment how she 'shouldn't be there', or 'she should go home'. Her whole body tenses for the reprimand that had yet to come.

Watching the others enter the hole she turns to Tika with a smile. "Thank you. For talking to me, and for helping." Offering the Girl her hand, she adds "I am Lauralanthalasa Kanan, only Daughter to the Speaker of the Suns.. And I am in your debt."

Riverwind grabbed hold of the rope. "Hold on to me, Chieftain's Daughter. I will carry you down," he offered.

Tika shook the elf maiden's hands, but a look of shock appeared on her face at hearing the title. "Speaker of the Suns...? You mean, you're the princess?!"

"Yes, I am a Princess, I did not mean to be untruthful, you can never be too careful." Laurana smiles, waiting for everyone else to leave, she stays behind standing next to Sturm.

Keeping his hand on his sword hilt Sturm waits, watching the group leave one by one.

He stays alongside the Elf Laurana, impressed with the way she is managing to keep a cool head.

Goldmoon nods and holds on to Riverwind. With him, she feels safe.

After everyone was in the back, Caramon started stacking whatever he could against the kitchen door. He eyes the rope, then looks to his brother..... " Raist do you want me to lower you? "

((( Yes. I know that he has featherfall on the staff. )))

Raistlin is looking bored as he watches the door into the Kitchen. "Any time now, its not like we are running for our lives or anything." he comments without looking at the others.

He is waiting to go last by the looks of things.

Caramon pulls the rope up and quickly ties a small loop at the base for a foothold.... " Keep your arm up and coiled around the rope! "

Muscles bulging at the effort, Riverwind slowly lowers himself down the rope, while his beloved clings to him. Despite the extra weight, it doesn't take him long to reach the bottom with the kender.

"Let's keep moving," Flint says.

"Yes, of course." Goldmoon answers Flint. "If you know which way to go. lead on."

(ooc: did we have time to grab our backpacks? No one mentioned them, and I don't think we sat at the table with them on...)

"Laurana, you head down too. I can hold them here if need be, and if I can't I can move quickly. I'll have no argument, you are too important to be in jeopardy. Sturm, you head down too, there may be a fight on the ground - they may have predicted this move - and the ladies will need protecting." Tanis finishes briskly barricading the door and waiting for the others to retreat.

"Remember, you can't all be last down," the old dwarf reminded the others. He then scurried down the rope in what would almost be a comical fashion were these less serious times.

At the bottom, he considered Goldmoon's statement. "Actually, where are we heading? We need somewhere to hide out from the guards before they chase us down. It's too risky to head to any of our houses. The guards will look there first. And I just know my place is probably falling apart by now," he grumbled wistfully.

(OOC: I assumed everyone grabbed their gear before heading to the kitchen. There was enough time to do so, at any rate.)

"Very well." Laurana rather carefully climbs the rope, watching Tanis from below.

Once Raistlin is done waiting for the others, he simply jumps down the hole without even bothering with the rope. Holding onto his staff, he descends slow and safely to the ground.

Once on the ground he settles his robes and looks at the others. "Leaving town would be our best first step." he says quietly in his low raspy voice. He looks at Tas. "You know the dark and secret ways, which way should we go to avoid the guards?" he asks the Kender.
