Brock helps himself to a plate of fried fish and some ale. He makes a sour face when sampling the ale, but says nothing about it. He also brings Jocelyn a plate and tankard. "You should eat something," he says to her in an almost fatherly tone.
Meanwhile, Takit and Hopper run around the room excitedly, not understanding why their master hasn't grabbed any food yet, and more importantly, why he isn't sharing any with them.

"Interesting idea, Baeros , thanks," replies Naras. "I'll have to think about that one though."

Jocelyn looks down at the food place in front of her, then looks up to Brock with a small smile. "Thanks," she says. She takes a few bites, and washes it down with the ale. "I think we are getting a little off topic here," she says. "While I told all of you the plan to speak with Sable for a possible peaceful way of dealing with the pirates, I am still unsure on how to get a hold of Sable. I think I vaguely remember a few of her old haunts when she wasn't on the ship, but what are the odds that the Poison Curse will be docked when we get there?"

Baeros looks at the fish, grab it by the tail and move it closer to his nose smelling it and making face. "Oh well... I guess it beats rations." he puts it back on the plate cut few fat parts to throw to the dogs and eats the rest. "How is the Canon study goes? Do you need help? I can at least help you position it in a way it is easy to aim at different directions, if nothing else." He turns to Thaddeus looks at him, then Ouragana and then Sierra and Tessa. "By the way meta-magic..." he turns back to Thaddeus. "Is it possible to amplify other... things... which are not magic by the meta-magic? For example acid or regular fire or damage dealt by sword or the like? You got the idea right?" he sneaks a look at Jocelyn to see if she is impressed by his "brilliance".

"Do we know which town we'll be docking at when we reach Draska?" asks Brock, reminding Jocelyn that the islands have multiple towns, cities and villages on them.
Baeros' attempts to appear brilliant may well be undermined by the fact that Sierra, Terra, and Thaddeus are not presently in the galley. Therefore, they cannot answer his questions or respond to his statements.

"What is it that we need to do in Draska," asks Naras, wondering if anyone will notice the inclusion of herself in the 'we'.

Jocelyn doesn't seem to appear to be paying much attention to Baeros at the moment. "Well, I'm from Enott," she says. "That is where the ship docked long enough for me to get on board."

Drav looks over to Naras and gives a little shrug, "I'm along for the ride too."

A little disappointed that Jocelyn had not answered ti her reassurance of staying by her, Ouragana answers Bearos's talk more politely than she might have done otherwise. "I'm surprised that you know the word meta-magic" she tells him. "And yes, it looks like the enhancement could work with other spells, too. But I need to study a lot to make it happen." then she frowns and thinkks over Bearos's staement again. "Do you really know how to make a pivot? A device that lets a cannon be turned? Would it work on a ship at sea?"

Naras offers, "Ouragana, if you're going to be experimenting with this cannon device, if you want I could keep an Augury spell or too available. It loosely let's you know if an intended action is likely to be good or bad in the forthcoming half hour. Not infallible, but can help avoid undesired consequences."

Brock nods to Jocelyn. "I'll go tell the captain then," he offers, getting up from the table. He limps out of the room and up the stairs to let Sierra know their destination is Enott.
Except for Ouragana and Val, everyone has eaten now. The galley cook begins cleaning up the mess everyone has left behind.

Jocelyn looks to Naras. "Pirates are trying to kill me, so in Draska we were either going to look for clues as to where the Poisoned Curse might be, or with the new plan we are going to start searching for Sable. Once I get in contact with Sable, then we might have a little bit more of solid plan on how to deal with these pirates."

"I just heard you and Thaddeus say this word and explaining the meaning so it adds up. I didn't ask about other spells but other non magic effects. And, well, I'm not a carpenter but there must be more than enough on the ship. Just wanted to give a hand while they work or when carrying and lifting the Cannon." He answers Ouragana in sad tone after being ignored by Jocelyn, and the non-present captain, navigator and mage.

As the talk winds down, a woman steps into the galley. Gallath knows her as Naishe, but the others have never seen her before. She has brown skin, black hair and hazel eyes. Wearing leathers, she has twin daggers at her hips and is adorned with jewelry. She looks every part the role of a buccaneer.
"Gallath," she says. "She's awake."

Jocelyn looks up to the newcomer with a raised eyebrow. "Who is this?" she asks. "And who is awake?"
