"As you wish," Calah says. She tugs on the reins of her horse, turns, and heads at a trot back to the rest of the group. She takes a soft breath and relaxes as she leaves the company of the others, trotting down the empty road.

Calah's return trip goes quickly, and she meets the wagon somewhat closer to the way station than she left it.
