First, Eringard turns to Gimak. "It still seems to be difficult for me to say things in a way that you don't misunderstand. I only wanted to say that I don't think we will be arrested straightaway, because we're as good as served on a platter as long as we stay here. Of course we have to be careful about what we say, and I agree that we should keep as low a profile as we can, not ask any question ourselves." Then she turns to Traern somewhat, although she is answering his quetion for all the group.
"The only place to gather before we go to the constabulary really is the marketplace, it's the only place large enough and it's not conspicious for people to meet there.
As for a place to regroup, well if we can get out of town, the best is to turn North. There's a road lading North, and about half an hour's walk away there's a path to a clearing. In fact, it might be a good idea to bring the horses there for grazing during the day"

"That would work nicely too." She nods in agreement.

"Best not to seen leading loaded horses out of town shortly before your appointment with the constable. That might be taken as evidence of flight. Besides, loaded horses would not be safe in the wild with no protection."

"I think we might be getting ahead of ourselves," Raina says. "We need to wait to see what these people want, if they want anything. It is quite possible they want to question us about the rebel leader," she points out. "They probably suspect anyone that comes into town."

Erignard shakes her head. "I didn't mean loaded horses" she explains. "Just with a bridle, bring them out for exercise and pasture, so we all know where the rayyling point is."

"Better to expect the worst, and be pleasantly surprised when it does not happen, than the opposite. But do as you will."

"Problem is, as Traern pointed out, is that leaving the horses out on their own means they'll likely be stolen or just run off. Someone would have to stay and watch 'em, but the problem is, the goons I spoke to last night were insistent that our whole group show up." He scratches his beard. "I'm already worried 'bout the halfling's disappearance, as it is."

"I'm leaving Fleet in the Stable, I have my gear with me.." she shrugs, "Gimak is right, we shouldn't be too hasty."

"Actually, leaving the horses out at all might be a bad idea," Raina says. "After talking to a few people yesterday, apparently their horses were poisoned," she explains.

"There were horses poisoned?" Eringard asks, surprised. "Did they tell you how it happened, when and where?"

"Well that settles it." She stamps her feet, "I'm going to take a look around, better in the day."

"They assume that Morn poisoned their horses," Raina explains. "And it happened outside this place."

Eringard shrugs. "Suit yourselves" she says dismissively. "I just thought that bringing the horses to that clearing would give us a good excuse to leave the town unconspiciously and see a place where we can regroup, and save us some money on fodder at the same time."

"We should all take whatever precautions we feel are needed," Gimak says, getting to his feet. "Just remember we're being watched, and with suspicious eyes looking for a reason to lock us up."
