With that, Ash gives the slightest lean forward in the saddle and his horse heads off at a fast walk.

Angel urges Praesul onwards riding alongside Liri. "Normally I would keep the same pace." she glances behind at the wrapped up creature. "Another body."

{ooc} sorry that was out of character, just been soooo tired of late working (2) 40 hours jobs. i was just thinking about the dwarf and an old scooby doo episode popped into my mind about the pictures when you walk by them the eyes seem to follow you. As for being creeped out i will only be that way if it comes to life while we are transporting it back {end ooc}

"Yes, we seem to be carrying strange bodies here and there. I wonder what Master Fraso can glean from this one?" Liri agrees to Angel's comment. "And I wonder why the one we had before was of so much interest to others that they chose to kill to get it."

"Frankly I doubt he will get much, in fact I wouldn't be suprised if they come after us.. Something wants this hidden.." She rubs her head, she was a warrior, tell her what to kill she killed it.. this was far different.. "My thoughts are more, where did they come from."

Depending on how long it takes to get back to town we may have to set up extra watches so we dont get attacked while transporting this guy back

Liri looks at the priest. "Yes, you're right, Papa. Should I scout ahead? My Casta is fast when she needs, to, she has helped me escape ambushes a few times."

"That only works if you know which way you are going." Angel comments, "We are small enough to move quick if needed. Perhaps you could ride ahead, but within sight."

"Of course not" Liri smiles. "I want to be within earshot in case I take the wrong way!"
She leads Casta out of the line and advances a little, watching and listening. (For example, is the birdsong as expected?)

Grouch is already well ahead of the group, riding point out of sight of the rest. As Liri advances, she is able to see Grouch's back. He's moving his horse at a trot for short distances, then back down to a walk for the same interval. All seems normal in the woods.

"No need for setting watches, unless that big beast of hers needs to rest. We shall be back to town by afternoon. And back to Ullo's again before midnight, if we tarry not."

"He will be just fine." Angel responds, riding on at a steady pace. "Don't you boy." she pats Praesul lightly on the neck, "Come, let's go."

With local cavalry scouts leading the way, it is a fairly quick journey to Paulding Depot - just a few hours, although it is clear from his attitude and occasional mutterings that Grouch feels it would have been a quicker journey without "certain people" slowing them down.

The town gates are closed when the group arrives. Ash approaches the gate and exchanges a few friendly words with the guard above it, then waves the others ahead as the gate is opened.

Passing through the gate, Ash says: "It has been quiet, yet Viletti thought it best to close the gates, to be sure your invisible elves do not slip in."

Ash and Grouch hand their mounts off to waiting men, and motion for the others to do the same, "We are going to see Viletti. Your necromancer is guesting with him, so you may as well come along. And bring that," he motions to the pack horse.

Sooner we get rid of the package the better
