"Babushka, if you are feeling up to it now, I guess it would be okay if you took Ulster out scouting ahead," Imani says.

Jerrard attempts to identify the cache of potions the kender has managed to collect over the past month. He starts with the two taken from the dragon's horde, and determines that the first will levitate the drinker for a short while, like the spell, while the other is a potion that grants the ability to speak very charismatically for a short while.

He then tries to identify the potions taken from the ghouls' lair. The first one Jerrard believes is a potion that allows a person to tell lies perfectly. The second one grants the drinker the ability to breathe fire. He cannot identify the third one at all, but the fourth one is, in fact, not a potion at all but an oil. Specifically, when someone is covered in it, they become so slippery that they cannot be grabbed, held or grappled. The next potion grants the drinker incredible super-human strength. He has no idea what the last potion does at all.

=================

Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 01 (1d20): 15, pass. It is a Potion of Levitation.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 02 (1d20): 5, pass. It is a Philter of Persuasiveness.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 03 (1d20): 14, pass. It is a Philter of Glibness.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 04 (1d20): 3, pass. It is a Potion of Fire Breath.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 05 (1d20): 18, fail. He cannot identify it.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 06 (1d20): 3, pass. It is an Oil of Slipperiness.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 07 (1d20): 14, pass. It is a Potion of Fire Giant Strength.
Jerrard makes a spellcraft check on Potion 08 (1d20): 20, fail. He cannot identify it.

Babushka nods at Imani's remark. "I will go, then. Ulster, are you ready?"

She will leave her backpack once again, and her small pouch with the needlework ingredients. While she puts that into her pack, she notices the potion still in it. "Hey, I had completely forgotten I still have this healing potion! Does anyone mind if I take it now?" she exclaims.

With all her weapons (the fungus staff loosely wound around her left wrist) and a waterskin, she sets out to where she last saw the tracks made by the animals and (presumably) Malika.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Ulster replies, inspecting his rusted sword, and then sheathing it.

The two head back over to where they had last seen Malika and the pack animals. Their tracks are still there and easy enough to follow for the time being.

=============

(OOC: Should Babushka drink the last dose of that Potion of Extra Healing, it will restore 1d8 HP.

My question here is, how long or how far is Babushka willing to follow the tracks?)

"Take it." Jerrard suggests to the Gnome, "Be safe." He adds hugging her close.

"There are no healing potions, as far as I can tell, I don't know what these are " he says handing the potions to Locky, explaining what they are. "I guess we wait."

"I will go and help the elves pass to meet Paladine." Locky says, "Who will help? You don't need to do much."

"I guess I can help with the elves," Imani says as stands from where she was sitting.

Babushka will drink the potion of extra healing, restoring 8 HP.

She will follow the tracks for half the day, then return to the group (the return should be quicker).
Of course, she will watch out for other tracks or any information on what had happened. If there are promising game tracks, Ulster and she will hunt for food. If there are none, she will at least collect edible plants on the way back.

"Thank you. You should really wear a robe, but I will cleanse you." Locky smiles, and takes imani by the hand.

"Come." She smiles and heads to the elves. "Watch him, please?" She asks the others.

"I'll do that." Jerrard responds, "Well look after him " he looks at the elf

Finishing off the potion, Babushka finds the majority of her wounds have now healed, leaving only a couple of scratches as any evidence that she was ever injured in the first place.

She and Ulster then set off, slowly following the tracks. "What do you think happened to them?" Ulster asks to pass the time.

Meanwhile, Locky and Imani prepare to wash the elf bodies to prepare them for the cleansing ritual.

=========

Babushka drinks the final dose of her Potion of Extra Healing, is healed (1d8): 8 HP.

(OOC: Note, since Babushka is not going to be here most of the day, she can't use her healing proficiency on anyone, as it requires 'regular attention' throughout the day. So it'll be up to Locky to do so; she'll need to choose her six patients then.)

"What happened to them?" Babushka repeats Ulster's question conversationally. "The best we could hope for is that the kirath Lareth wanted us to meet have found her. That leaves the question, why didn't they look for us? But who knows what story Malika told them. Probably what she thought would be most favorable for her.

I don't think there were more Daergar or other dwarves who took her and the animals. They would have tried to get underground, I guess.

Is there still another group around? It's not impossible. But if you ask me, for a haunted forest that's avoided by people, there are really a lot of folks around here."
she smiles up at the big man.

"But we will know, one way or the other, in time."

Once she has finished the cleansing with Imani's help, Locky produces a single candle and passes it to Imani, "Can you hold this? See we are supposed to use insence, but we don't have any."

"Eli, please take your children to your breast. I know I'm not an Elf, but these people died bravely, protecting their home." She says softly, "We seal them in this place, in the hope you will accept them." Bowing gently she steps back.

"Let us leave them." She says quietly to Imani.

Jerrard spends his time studying his books and caring for the Kirath as best he can.
