CH 1: You All Meet in a Tavern

Ouragana's hair flies in all directions as she shakes her head violently, hands on her hips. "As if I had nothing better to do than wreck havoc! Why do you accuse me of such things when you're seeing me for the first time!" she shouts.

(OOC: Yes, I would like Ouragana to have the cantrip proficiency. I didn't know about it when I made the sheet, and reading your post about cantrips, I missed seeing you treat it as a proficiency in this setting. So I would like to cancel Poetry to gain Cantrips)

The female warden says to Dahn, "Well, right now, we're on our lunch break. But if you're serious about helping the wardens, then come by our stronghold later today and talk to the captain."

"The captain'd never deputize such a shady looking gnome," the male protests, still giving Dahn the stink-eye.

The female merely shrugs. "That's for the captain to decide, not us."

Meanwhile, the bartender returns from the kitchen with a bowl of vegetable stew and a mug of pineapple juice. She notices he seems to limp slightly when he walks. He sets them on the bar before the sorceress. "That'll be a silver piece," he says. "And I've dealt with your kind before, mage. Used to be an adventurer myself, 'fore I took an arrow to the knee."

Dahn pays 5 coppers.

(OOC: Done, Breila.)

"Alright, will do." Dahn decides to end the conversation there.
He hops off of his chair and decides to investigate the commotion at the other end of the bar.
He gets about half wait, but suddenly stops."Oh!"
The little gnome scurries back to the wardens' table nods respectfully towards them, grabs his mead, and with a nervous laugh, heads once more to the center of the commotion.

"As if we all were the same" Ouragana says, handing the silver over to the bartender. She picks up the soup and juice and places them on the table next to the bar, seating herself on the closest chair, to eat in comfort.

Arei enters the inn with a simple motion, pushing it gently she steps inside, surveying the surroundings. This place seemed better than the other, while she was happy in the company of rough and ready sailors it was always nice to wind down, take a glass of white and relax.

Flipping back her long auburn hair she checks out the various tables and instead makes a bee line for the bar, her sabre rattling against her leg the young elf strides inside.

"A glass of wine please, white if you have it." She asks the bartender with a smile, adjusting her black bodice, before moving the blade so she can take a seat.

The bartender snorts, but says nothing further to Ourgana. He is distracted by the new customer that just arrived. "Aye, just a moment," he tells the elf. While she sits at the bar, next to the old priest, the bartender fills a clean glass with red wine and then sets it at the bar before her. "Five coppers," he says.

Ouragana pays one silver.

"Thank you." Slightly perturbed that there appears to be no white wine Arei slides over 5 copper pieces and sips the wine slowly, spinning around to scan the bar. The old priest wasn't really a concern, and the loud mage was just screaming for attention.

She watches the rest of the bar with interest.

Dahn, who had spun out of the new customer's path to prevent from being trampled, stumbles into the nearest chair and plays it off as if it was his intention to sit in it in the first place.
Relieved that now that the server had apparently found something else occupy himself with, he no longer had to play "peace keeper", he begins drinking his mead.

"She's a fiery mage at that," Jocelyn says with a smirk. "And now we have an elf in p...er sailing garb" she says with a small frown.

Areilon, Ouragana and Dahn all sit down and eat or drink (or both) quietly, keeping to themselves.

Noah is about to respond to Jocelyn, but his interest in the other patrons is immediately lost when the server brings their food. He places a glass of red wine and a plate of roasted fish and steamed vegetables before each of them. "That'll be three silver," the server says.

The door opens once again, and without any fanfare, in walks a rather large grey skinned woman dripping wet. She looks around briefly and proceeds to the bar. Before taking a seat, she shrugs off her pack and lays in on the floor before standing her trident up against the bar, business end down.

She waits for some service before requesting "Me have water and fish, not burnt."

While waiting, she turns and looks at the other patrons, sizing up any potential issues.

"Hmph," the bartender says. "A gnome, a halfling, an elf, an orc...well, today ain't nothing if interesting." While Val sits down at the bar with the priest and the elf, the bartender steps into the back and returns a few moments later with a plate of salted cod and a mug of water. "That'll be a silver."

Ouragana had looked up when the half-orc amazon entered, but decided to calm her nerves with a good meal first, before approaching anyone else. She had been told to keep her temper down so often, but it never worked, so she had given up eventually. Still, being well fed helped. And after a week of mostly fish, vegetables and fruit tasted so good...

Val fishes a silver out of her pouch and slaps it down on the bar. She drinks half the water before tearing into the food with single minded purpose.

Arei says nothing, choosing to see what happens in the bar, the patrons seemed a strange bunch.
