Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Drawing her blade Laurana moves Magpie behind, "Tanis!" she shouts, preparing to defend herself.
(Full defense.)
Magpie draws her little knife and looks up at Laurana, "You not let big creature hurt me?" She asks showing her yellow teeth.
Laurana nods, facing the creatures, "You will never take Qualinost!"

As soon as she notices the draconians, Goldmoon lays a hand on the pendant around her neck and starts to pray: "Mishakal, heed me! Protect us against your enemies!"

Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Tas takes his hoopak out and sets a sling stone with a firm hand and eyes the mean dragon men. It's not polite to make jokes about the elves in that fashion. (( 16 To hit roll if required, damage can be rolled by GM if he wants, INIT: 12 )) He steps closer to Magpie in order to protect her.

Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Riverwind calmly watches the Draconians approach, withholding his wrath only with great effort. He shoulders his bow and draws his sword and dagger, angling left away from the main group and around the corners of the building. "Split 'em up" is all he says.
He hopes to draw at least two toward him, and see how the rest engage his friends.
(OOC: if #5 & 6 peel off to me, I'll rush and engage)

Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Sunstar quickly pulls out the hand axes that Flint gave to her, but she waits for the draconians to get closer before she actually does anything. "Raven-eye, stay with the old man," she says, knowing that her brother doesn't have any weapons upon him at the moment.
Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Drawing his sword Caramon moves opposite Sturm to stand next to Tas and Magpie, shouting angrily..."The only thing you'll pump today, is your blood upon the ground!"

Re: CH 5: Que-Kiri and the Plains
Three of the draconians charged forward, right at Laurana and Magpie. But the two were ready for them, and easily parried all of their attacks.
"Ast tasarak sinuralan krynawi!" Raistlin cried, tossing a handful of sand into the air. Two of the draconians in the back suddenly fell over, sound asleep. A third wavered a bit, but shook the effects of the spell off.
Caramon and Flint hurried forward to the girls' defense, and working together managed to hack down one of the offensive creatures. Upon death, however, it suddenly melted as if made of ice on a hot summer's day. The liquid it left behind pooled at their feet, sizzling and eating through their shoes and boots, burning their feet. It was acid!
One of the draconians spotted Raistlin and recognized him as a spellcaster. While the others were distracted, he attacked the red robed wizard. But Raistlin managed to parry the blow with the Staff of Magius. "Brother!" Raistlin called with annoyance that his protector had abandoned him for the elf woman.
Riverwind ran off to the side, and as he had hoped, grabbed the attention of one of the draconians. They both attacked at the same time, and each got in a hit. But Riverwind's was better. He gave the draconian a nasty cut across the chest, while he himself only took a small scratch to the cheek. But suddenly, the barbarian's body went rigid. Unable to move, he fell over as all of his muscles seized up at once.
Another draconian ran up behind Flint and stabbed him from behind, but the dwarf's innate resistance seemed to fight off whatever poison was on the blade. Yet another draconian, spotting an easy target, ran right up to the old man and ran him through, laughing to himself as if this was pretty funny. The old man choked and gasped in surprise, then fell over, unmoving.
Meanwhile, Goldmoon finally finished her prayer. Holding her medallion aloft, it suddenly shimmered. Everyone on the battlefield on both sides could suddenly feel the goddess' presence on the battlefield, filling the heroes with hope and fervor, but the enemies with dread and gloom.
Sturm came to Laurana's aid, cutting down one of her two opponents. It, too, melted into a puddle of acid. Tanis tried firing at a sleeping draconian, but another one got in his way. He managed to hit it with two arrows after it stabbed Flint. "They've broken through the defense!" the half-elf announced. "We need help back here!" he adds, seeing the fallen barbarian and old man, and now both the wizard and cleric are vulnerable.
Finally, Tasslehoff slung a rock off the ground at the draconian attacking Laurana, but it missed. Drat, and that was the only rock he had on him, too.

"Hold on Raist!" Caramon makes an anguished glance over his shoulder to his brother. For a second it looks like the big man will break ranks and rush to the mage's side. Flint's gasp from the back stab yanks Caramon's attention back to his surroundings. He sets a furious set of blows against the creature before turning to the rear.

"Well." Tas declares with a mild frown. Then, he steps up and twacks at the bad guy attacking the grumpy mage. True, it is a dragon of sorts. Still, it is trying to harm Raist. (( 16 To Hit, Damage from stick ala GM ))
