Leaving the horses behind, the party, including Leafloam, make their way back up the steep tunnel to the first level, and eventually reach the waterfall that conceals the root ladder.

"Locky, I believe you don't need the key to divert the waterfall." Babushka says, an amused tone to her voice.

"I guess, ummm." Locky gives a look on concentration, pulling out little wires and the like, she stops scratches her head and mumbles. "Someone must have broken it, I can't seem to get the last pin to move." She gives a little shrug and turns back to the group. "We need a big hammer!" She says with a grin.

"Do you think that will work?" Babushka is sceptical, she inspects the mechanism. Maybe she's seen something like it in one of her family's wild designs. "And would we have something like a hammer?" she asks the others.

"No idea, would be fun wouldn't it?" She grins at the pair.

As far as Babushka can tell, it's a pretty standard lock with no special bells and whistles.

"The Podmen never used keys, the Shroom designed them to be keys," Leafloam says. He reaches down to one of the corpses that the party dumped from the waterfall days ago. He easily snaps off its finger, then hands the severed extremity to Locky. "Try this."

"Ohhh I never even thought of the Podmen like that, but how else did they get out?" She smiles, placing the finger into the lock.

The finger, although a bit decomposed, still fits into the keyhole perfectly. One twist, and the lock clicks and the waterfall is diverted, revealing the root ladder once again.

"Thanks Leafloam!" Locky exclaims, the thought crosses her mind to place the finger in a pouch. Shruging she does so.. Well it might come in useful.

"Follow me!" She leads onwards, stopping at the ladder.

"Locky, Locky, Locky." Jerrard shakes his head, following her through the waterfall.

Once everyone has climbed the root ladder, the party finds themselves back in the entrance chamber...their 'first' campsite with the waterfall and refreshing pool. The fungus ladder, growing alongside the wall, is still in place. A small bit of sunshine can be seen from here. They are nearly to the surface.

"Ooooooo!" Locky cries, "I've missed the pool, can I? Please?" She grins, half sliding her pack off her shoulder. Looking longingly at the pool.

"Go ahead, Locky, you can bathe as least as long as Leafloam needs to get up the ladder." A broad grin shows on Babushka's face.

Locky strips off quickly with abandon. Her wounds visible, shrugging she jumps into the pool with a spash.

Shaking his head in suprise, Jerrard lets out a chuckle, who would imagine he would care for a Kender? He looks away as she jumps in, saving what dignity she had.

"Babuskha, go up the ladder with Leafloam, I will wait with Locky." He rubs his Goatie, "I might even join her." He grins, sitting by the pool.
