Heading to the right, Amon spies the two doors, the one to his left appears normal but the door ahead has a strong wooden bar across it, carried in brackets on the frame and the door itself. On the door has been written the single word 'DANGER' in the common tongue; this has been inscribed in large letters using chalk.

Amon avoids the door that reads "Danger" and tries the other one instead.

As Amon places his hand to the door handle, the same Ghostly vision he has seen before flies from the door now located to his right (marked Danger) ripped dress flying behind her, she flies straight through Amon her Ghostly mouth open in a wide scream. "You are like the others, leave this place!" she screams, her voice filling the room with power.

Amon, unimpressed with the illusion, ignores it and continues through the unmarked door.

(Hard arse Amon, or what!)

Ignoring the image of the young girl Amon opens the door slowly.

Inside is a small room, clearly the quarters of a person senior to those who live in the 'barracks' main room, since the furnishing is less crude and the place is clean and tidy, as if cared for by a servant. There is a comfortable-looking bed in the northwest corner with a wooden locker at its foot. A small wooden table stands against the east wall, and beside it is a padded leather chair. On the table is a brass 9-branch candlestick and in it burn 3 candles, giving the room good illumination. The candles, though not fresh, are far from spent.

Under the table is a small wooden box and a bullseye lantern with a moveable shutter over the lens; the lantern is unlit.

On a shelf above the table are stacked three books. In the northeast corner is a wooden cupboard with the door closed.

Amon examines the stacked books on the shelf first, always drawn to literature as a rule.

There are three books of note on the shelf, the first bearing the Title: "Nymphs and Pixies" it is a small well bound book, the pages well thumbed.

The second is a loose leafed tome, the title "Saltmarsh Almanac", a number of pages appear to be sticking our at random angles.

The last he notes straight away is a spellbook, numerous Runes are visible, emanating power.

Amon goes straight for the spellbook, curious to see what kind and how many spells are within.

Picking up the tome, two runes on the front glow with power, a single name is written on the tome. Sanbalet.

Opening the tome, he finds only a few spells, many of which he can understand, yet some are beyond his power.

(Color spray, hypnotism, detect illusion, wall of fog, invisibility, magic mouth and darkness 15 radius)

Deciding this was worth something, Amon sticks the spellbook in his pack. He then checks the almanac next.

The book appears to list the tide times around the Saltmarsh area, along with a single sheet of parchment with a number of words in a foreign language.

A loud noise interrupts him, coming from the main room.

Amon knows four different languages. Can he identify it?

Upon hearing the noise, he quickly puts the almanac in his pack and prepares to check it out. Then, as an afterthought, he grabs 'Nymphs and Pixies' with a blush, and quickly packs it away, too, for later.

Then he sneaks up to the door and tries to peak out.

He recognises the words as being Gnoll, some of the words are written slightly different to the ones he is used to.

Looking out he sees a figure start to enter the room from the door now located to his right (the north, the small door marked danger.)

Amon sits and waits, hoping to learn more about his captors before anything else.

Amon Spies two figures entering the door, they enter cautiously, looking around like they have never seen the room before.
