Kender are quite common, they are like rats really, anoying people and running riot.

She is well... special because she is actually a Cleric and has managed to reach a reasonable standard, but people laugh at her.

NO +2 Laser pistol, just... well... we'll have fun, they are afriad of nothing, she would be happy to go into the caverns on her own, she'd die, but death is just another adventure!

Also, what she does have are thief skills, all Kender have latent thief skills...

Kender are fairly common. They are the equivalent to halflings in other settings.

Kender are also notorious kleptomaniacs. They have no sense of property. It is common for one to pick something up (or pluck it from your pocket), admire it, then absentmindedly drop it in their own pocket. This is why the bartender and Hilda are reluctant to touch or get too close to Locky. They fear they will be robbed blind.

Kender know no fear and are adventure-prone. They also are true innocents. However, because of their sticky fingers, most people view kender as nuisances or even pests. Of course, how your own character reacts to Locky is up to you.

Okay, so Locky has 20 feet of rope and both of you have a week's worth of rations. Is this enough, or do you guys want to pick up more?

As for the lantern, do you want a bullseye (12 stp) or a hooded (7 stp) lantern, and how many oils of lamp oil (6 cp each; lasts six hours each) do you want?

my basic kit has what, 2-3 pints of oil? I don't know if kender can see if the dark; bur hell, i'll take another hooded lamp and a pint of oil, just in case.

Kender do have some infravision, about 30 feet I believe.

Anyway, I'll update inventories when I get back. My sister is getting married, so I'll be out of town the next couple of days. See you two then!

Before we go into the cavern, I have two more questions:

- Do the caverns count as "natural settings", so that full ranger ability percentiles apply (hide in shadows, move silently), or do they count as "non-natural" so that success probabilities are halved?

- Would Breila be able to tell, in lighting conditions just sufficient for Shay not to stumble, to tell wehter the cave walls, ceiling or floor are all natural or worked with tools? What about close inspection in directed lamplight?
