So with the updated Save from inspiration
==============================
Sue will attack #5 Adv
LS(GSlayer)(Dis)Adv Hit:[1d20+8]=20+8=28 [1d20+8]=20+8=28 Dmg: [1d8+5]=8+5=13
=============================
Holy shit, double Crit...
Crit Roll: [1d8]=8
Crit Roll: [1d8]=8 - Half Orc Extra Die.... seems like USS is stuck on max rolls...

===================================
What a fickle mistress that USS is...
===================================
If #5 is up, or #6 if he isnt.
LS(GSlayer)(Dis)Adv Hit:[1d20+8]=16+8=24 [1d20+8]=18+8=26 Dmg: [1d8+5]=6+5=11

If both are still up. He will use a Bonus Action to Misty Step to where I wrote MS. As long as those crates will block a creature from getting dv on him.

Sue's blade catches the bugbear [#5] on the side of the neck and slices diagonally downwards to exit just abve the creature's hip. Sue and Jim are sprayed with blood as the two chunks of the creature fall to the ground. Not having quite vented his speen the half-orc spins round and cuts a bloody swathe across the remaining foe's chest. [#4]

Possibly deciding enough is enough the sole foe [#4] standing grabs the bag and makes a dash for it.

Sue gains an attack of opportunity if he wishes. (#4 has 16HP remaining.)
Assuming Sue doesn't finish off the bag-grabber, it dashes sixty foot away and then it's up to Jim before the creature tries to disappear into the city.

Sue will swing at the retreating Bugbear.

He will spit towards the body.

"Are we carrying a treasure?"

Jim walks to the latest corpse, bends down and retrieves the padded bag.
"They could have been after us for any number of reasons I suppose.. though it is odd that we should get attacked here and now." Turning to Sue he asks "Do we report this? How complicated would that make matters? I'm not suggesting we hide from the fact we killed these.. thieves. Your call. Involve the watch or guard (police) or handle this somewhat more discreetly?"

The last visible assailant dies and Sue is able to recover the padded bag. He knows that the Watch will most lileky be on the scene in a matter of minutes. There's probably time for a speedy pat down of the fallen but lingering beyond that invites a discussion with the Watch (which may imperil successful delivery).

Edit: PCs each gain +280xp.

"We don't have the time to report this. They will come check it out right away, anyway. Let's see if they have an identification or something that points to why they would be attacking us."

Sue will search for anything useful, or valuable.

"Watchers will clearly see this for what it was, so no need to report what happened."

He will also use a lvl 1 Cure Wounds on himself.
Cure Wounds: [1d8+2]=4+2=6

Will Sue search a kobold or a bugbear?
(Or do you want the lot lumped together into a single skill check?)

======
Investigation skill check, please.

"One of those Peppermint Pops, would be great."

With Sue's rolls I would rather do multiple. He will start on a Bugbear.

Case in point lol.

The bugbear carries a wooden shield, a morningstar, a bad case of BO and a pouch (with 8cps in it).

Roll away (Investigation), one per foe total. NOT one per foe per PC.

This hairy creature has wooden shield, a morningstar, seems to have trodden in something unpleasant and a pouch (with 14 shards in it).
Whie examining this fellow Sue's have encounters something that feels like scar tissue unlike anything causes by a weapon he's familiar with. Exploring further and lifting up the hair between the corpse's shoulder blades reveals a pair of brands. One is a dwarven rune for "Property (of)" and the is less obvious:

While the other 2 occupy themselves with the corpses, Jim heads to the end of the alley that opens up onto the road/square? to keep a watch for any incoming trouble.
Ie watch or guards or anyone paying more interest than necessary.
