Jordek says a quiet prayer and touches the unconscious Elf. Coughing quietly, Nocturno slowly awakens. Off in the tunnel to the side, the sounds of the beetle thrashing about can still be heard...

Jordek Casts Cure Light Wounds on Nocturno
Nocturno is healed to 1 hp and regains consciousness!

Nocturno shakes his head a bit. He will stand up leaning on the gnome's shoulder as he gets up.

He will grunt and point to the door.

Jordek nods and assists the elf out of the cavern.
Once out he asks "Head back? Or do we need this mushroom cap?"

"I need rest. I think we should head to town." He shakes his head not believing how hard that Beetle attacked.

The pair struggle their way back to Bordertown. [Tavern? Keep? Bare-knuckle-boxing tourney?]

If Jordek wanted to go after the shrieker mushroom again, let me know we can do a quick blurb for that

Jordek is tempted but rightly terrified. He'd probably go back for the torch he left on the ground keeping a skittish ear out for the sounds of the beetle. If he got to the torch he'd attempt to see how close Nocturno had come to removing the cap without getting to close. If anything made noise he'd probably bolt out the entrance.

OOC - did we do the meeting yet? I can't remember. If so, Jordek would advise rest and recuperation to the elf.

Edit: Jordek would try to recover his daggers if he is successful in reclaiming the torch. ( Light torch and search quickly for daggers)
To be clear, his fear rules over other actions at the moment, anything alerts him and he is running like a bunny.

[ooc] which meeting? Re the mushroom: Noctturno was a little under half-way through when the beetle attacked, but he really only hit it once and not very hard[/ooc]

Jordek would attempt to recover his thrown daggers if possible. He would leave the mushroom alone.
I thought Jordek and Nocturne were supposed to meet someone in the town about the rescue of the people from the goblin caves but either that already happened or I am mistaken I guess.

[They met Tag the guard who led them to the keep/magic shop where the pair heard about the shrieker and decided to try it]

Jordek carefully sneaks back and recovers his daggers and torch. the noise of the struggle has died down and there is currently no sign of the beetle.

Jordek is satisfied with the recovery of his daggers. He mentions to the elf that while there is no sign of the beetle, he thinks a night of rest in the house of pies is a wonderful idea. Perhaps they could try for the mushroom a bit later.
He will ramble as he assists the elf back to town proposing schemes to get the mushroom each plan wilder and more convoluted than the last.
(one includes the elf hitting the mushroom from afar with an arrow to lure in the beetle, waiting out the beetle and then setting of the mushroom shrieking again and again until the beetle finally ignores the screams and the two of them can harvest the mushroom in peace. Jordek wildly estimates approximately 1 week for the plan to work.)

Nocturno mostly just nods along with the nonsense. Leaning more on the gnome more than he would like Nocturno makes his way to the Inn.

The pair return to town where they are quickly spotted and escorted to the "Horse and Plow" where Nocturno is bandaged up.

So they were planning to meet the rest of the party back near the basilisk cave tomorrow night. With Nocturno in his current state they won't be able to travel that fast without a mount of some kind.

A mount of some kind.... I don't think they make saddles for Jordek sized individuals.
================================

"Thank you, thank you. That beetle... was much, uh, stronger than I envisioned..."

He will slump back.

"Do you all have any tea that will help relax these battered muscles?"

[OOC]the mount would be for nocturno because he can't walk 10 hrs the same day he had a death's door event. A mule or horse could be rented or purchased.
Jordek could probably whip up a tea ;) [/ooc]
