"You will help us right? You will gain from Scourge elimination. I think we should capture him. If we start lie and caught in the lie it will be much worse." Baeros says. "But if we can in parallel to trying to capture him stir up rumors about him killing Ethan, it might benefit us..."

Jocelyn, Ouragana, Baeros, Gallath and Drav (Alley behind Temple of Renos/Sardonx 15th, 11 PM)
"After three years?" asks Sable. "It's possible, but you won't be able to retrieve his body, that's for sure. It was buried at sea. Your best bet would be to get into the captain's cabin. I imagine if there is any evidence left, it would be there." She sniffs. "But turning him into the church? Well, if you want to. They won't offer a reward, though."

To Baeros, she adds, "Me, help you? In my own subtle way. As long as it can't be traced back to me. I'm not about to stick my neck out, that's for sure. If you fail, I don't want to go down with you."

Val and Naras (Ixitxachitl Lair/Sardonx 12th, 1 PM)
The two hurry forward. The long cavern eventually opens up into a large chamber. It appears to be some kind of shrine or temple. In the far back is an altar on which a mermaid is tied down to, unconscious. Two larger Ixitxachitl swim around it, chanting--or at least, it sounds like chanting. It's more of a strange thrumming sound being emitted by the creatures.

Meanwhile, Serenna and her brothers are fighting for their lives against two normal sized Ixitxachitl each. There are also two nooks, one on each side of the chamber.

Jocelyn looks to Ouragana for a moment. "But how can we prove he killed Ethan?" she asked. "It has been three years, so whatever evidence there was is most likely gone now."

Ouragana answers Jocelyn: "I don't know yet. I was just thinking that unless we had people from the Church join us, the chance of getting someone to them from among his followers are slim." Then she turns to Sable: "I guess being safe from Scourge would be reward enough for Jocelyn, worth more than any money."

Jocelyn, Ouragana, Baeros, Gallath and Drav (Alley behind Temple of Renos/Sardonx 15th, 11 PM)
"As I just said, if there is any evidence left, it will be in the captain's cabin," Sable says, placing her hands on her hips. "Although that is easier said than done, as well. Still, it might be possible. But your friend is right. As difficult as it would be to capture Scourge, actually getting him to the authorities won't be easy, either. The Poison Curse's ships will be right on your tail the whole time."

Val and Naras (Ixitxachitl Lair/Sardonx 12th, 1 PM)
The two shaman continue to swim in circles around the altar, praying. The others all attack the three undine siblings ferociously. Cye and Serenna are able to hold them off for the most part. Shin is not so lucky. Just as he finishes a spell, one of the bites into him. He conjures some kind of globe of lightning in the water, which fries his two opponents. One is killed instantly, but the other is left alive...just barely. For that matter, so is Shin. It's clear that whoever attacks next is likely to be the victor. He quickly starts chanting another spell.

Val digs out the vial of liquid in her pack that will give her a giant's strength. When she pulls out the cork, though, the sea water all around her rushes in, destroying the potion. If only she had transferred the liquid into that empty bladder Serenna had given her for this explicit purpose. Thankfully, she still has the potion of superheroism that is kept in a bladder. She moves into position with Naras to attack one of the rays fighting Serenna. Naras manages to hurt it, but Serenna is unable to finish it off.

"Is it possible to sneak on board the ship and into the captain's quarters?" Jocelyn asks. "I don't have the power to make anyone invisible."

Desperately Naras says (in Common), "Can you help Shin?" and points with her elbow. "If Shin can be freed, maybe she can hit the pair prancing round the alter with a spell."
The spell-less dwarf tries to stab Ixitxachitl 03 from behind taking a two-handed grip on her spear..

"Oh, but I can make you invisible, Jocelyn. Did I forget to tell you I learned that spell?" Ouragana says, suddenly exited.

"What are the specifics of the spell?" Jocelyn asks. She wants to know what she can and cannot do while invisible. If she can touch things without becoming visible, then that is something she needs to know.

Ouragana answers, almost lecture-like: "Once cast, the spell lasts for 24 hours, or until the caster or the recipient cancels it. it immediately ends when the recipient attacks someone, either with a weapon or with a spell. It will make you invisible, but the sounds you make are still there. When you drop something, that becomes visible. Something you pick up stays visible until you put it in a pocket or pouch, so it looks like it hangs in the air all by itself."

"Hmm, but if it only lasts 24 hours, then eventually she would get found and caught once on board the ship and on the high seas," Sable mentions. "Isn't that right?"

Val and Naras (Ixitxachitl Lair/Sardonx 12th, 1 PM)
(OOC: Is that what you want Val do to for the next round, then, Nuke? Drink the potion of Superheroism?)

"Well, I would obviously have to do this while the Poisoned Curse was docked," Jocelyn says. "And it would need to be docked for at least 24 hours. When was the last time the crew had some downtime?"
