Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Kendra pushes a stray piece of hair back behind her ear, and tears her eyes away from the dress to look at the young man. "What sort of arrangement are you thinking of?" she asked.

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Unable to find Haahqae--or any of the others from the previous night--Arulia turns to Ne-Chanz. "Do you know where Haahqae is? He is staying here, isn't he?"
Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Tulbas collects himself and stands back on his feet. He looks at Gobax in admiration of his abilities and then, "I thank you and I thank Sirrion for his burning healing." after that he adds "You say you suspect there are more? What makes you think that? But maybe you can tell me about it later. If we decided to first go to Belzor lair then let's hurry up."

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Yes, let's go. For now my suspicion is merely speculation, but where the Dragon Queen is Paladine always opposes her, so I can't imagine him not having at least one agent in the city. Indeed I would expect almost any of the gods of 'good' to be working against her wherever possible...
Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
"Hmm yes, if there are a bunch of the old gods who returned then we can be sure a healthy amount of the old rivalries have returned as well."
"However Tulbas does make a point, let's make haste to get to Belzor's temple."

"I wouldn't mind attending the prefect's soiree myself," the tailor says. "If you are going, I'd be honored to be your date. Plus, then I could not only show off my work to the other elite in town, but I'd have the pleasure of seeing you in this dress, as well."
Arulia, Ne-Chanz and Shima (Steel Tankard Inn, Common area)
Shima does not recognize any of these people in the room.
(OOC: If he had recognized anyone, I would have said so, like I did for Arulia.)

{OOC: Thanks Jaded.}
Shima tries to look attentive to Arulia & Ne-Chanz, without it being obvious that he's trying to listen in to the four Baaz.

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Kendra seems to consider the offer, then shakes her head a bit. "No offense to you," she says. "But I'm pretty sure my husband wouldn't like me going to a party with another man," she admits. She was pretty sure that he wasn't going to like her going to this party anyway. "So, I'll just buy this black one instead," she says as she picks up the black dress that was much more reasonably priced than the blue one.

"I see," the tailor says a bit cooly. "Well, he's a lucky man, I'm sure." As Kendra chooses the black dress instead, he says, "An, yes, this one goes for 70 steel pieces. It was inspired by a design I once read about that was popular in Silvanesti back in the day...well, before it fell. I feel I've since made some improvements on their design, if I do say so myself. I call it the 'Starry Night.'"
Arulia, Ne-Chanz and Shima (Steel Tankard Inn, Common area)
Shima tries to listen in on the baaz, but isn't close enough to hear anything concrete. It sounds like they are celebrating over something, though.

Shima makes a Detect Noise check [TN 45%] (1d100): 50, fail.

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Arulia shakes her head. "Probably nothing that's good for us to stick our noses into." She looks about one last time to confirm that she hasn't just missed Haahqae in the paltry crowd. "Maybe the gnome likes to sleep in late," she muses. "We could wait for a while, or maybe the barman knows where he is. Shima, why don't you go and ask if he's seen Haahqae?"
Leaving Shima to her suggestion, Arulia approaches the young girl sitting and drinking by herself. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting," she begins, and waves over the serving woman. Placing two of her quickly-diminishing silver coins on the table, she says, "You seem to be very, well, out of place in here. Do you mind if I sit with you?"

Shima does as bid, "Barman, have we missed Haahquae? Has he left already?"

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
"You name your dresses?" Kendra asks in amusement. "But I'll take it. I guess the only problem I have now is what to do with my hair."

"Enjoy," the tailor says dryly as he accepts Kendra's 70 steel coins in exchange for the black dress.
Arulia, Ne-Chanz and Shima (Steel Tankard Inn, Common area)
Arulia approaches the girl and asks to sit with her. The young woman, somewhere around Cassilda's and Camilla's age, smiles lightly. "By all means, I was just taking a break from work. I sell clams down by the harbor," she says.
Meanwhile, Shima approaches the bartender to ask about Haahqae. "Who wants to know?" the bartender asks. "Wait, I remember you. You were here last night, weren't ya?

Re: CH. 9: Winter is Coming
Shima replies, "Yep. You do. I was. She's Haquae's friend and looking for him too." He points with his nose at the female half-elf, Arulia.
