"It is going to take all of us to carry this thing," Simone said as she moved to one side to pick up her end.

Wallace picks up his end, focusing on using his legs, not his back.

Davne moves to the centre of the tree, and prepares to use all her might in hoisting the tree with the others.

Working together, Davne, Wallace and Simone all lift up the fallen tree and carry it to the ravine. Alenka supervises and calls out directions to them as they go.

Once they reach the edge of the ravine, things get tricky. But they manage to get the log standing vertically, then let it drop forward. They are in luck; the other end of the tree hits the other side of the ravine, forming a makeshift bridge. Now all that remains is to cross it.

Davne makes a STR (Might) test with the help of Wallace (+1) and Simone (+1) [TN 15] (3d6+5): 16, pass.

"All right, I guess I'll be the first one to go," Simone says as she climbs up on the log. Making sure to keep her balance, she slowly starts to cross.

"Wait Simone!" Wallace carefully ties the iron spike to the end of the rope, drives into the ground, and ties the other end around her waist. "There. Safety first!"

Simone easily crosses over to the other side without any problem.

Simone makes a DEX (Acrobatics) test [TN 11] (3d6+3): 16, pass.

"Any chance of making that into a guide rope over the tree, to help us less nimble people... or just me really" Davne calls across the ravine.

"Yeah, perfect!" Exclaims Wallace.

OOC: It didn't say that Wallace gave Simone another spike for the other side.

Simone unties the rope from her waist once she is across the tree. She quickly ties the rope around one of the old posts. "Okay, I think it is ready now," she calls back over to the others.

With the rope to aid them, it's a trivial task for the others to cross, one by one. "Excellent work," Alenka says. "Now I suggest we get going at once. We need to cover as much ground as we can before night falls."

"Well, I hope we don't have to do something like that again," Simone says as she takes up her spot in the back of the group.

Wallace collects his rope. "Let's move on!"

The road on the other side of the missing bridge cuts through rockier, hilly terrain. After awhile, Alenka leads the party to a defensible location just off the road. "We can rest here a bit, and regain some strength," Alenka suggests. "Simone and I can keep watch here, if Davne and Wallace want to go foraging or hunting. There's a small grove not far from here that might have some berries or even wild game that should provide a quick meal."

"Let's go on the look out for food then!" Davne says as she readies and loads her crossbow
