Walking over to Jeremy Locky starts to check over his wounds, first using her knowledge of healing (1d20=8 Pass) and then calling on Paladine. 1d8=8

"You should stay back for a while, both you and Babuskha." She smiles, "I will help where I can."

"Nature will reclaim them," Aleaha says. "Burning them is too much of a danger; we could wind up burning down the whole forest. They are dead; that is all that matters now."

"Very well." Shaking his head Jerrard gives Malika a smile, "Thank you, again, sorry I shouted."

"Was that tree I saw last night like that?" Locky asks as she tends to the woodsman.

"Ugh!" Jeremy says as he shambles over to his donkey, "I'm glad THAT"S over, I suppose we should get moving, And I think Lockey's right, I'll move more towards the middle for a while."

"Hmph!" Malika says, puffing out her cheeks and crossing her arms.

Aleaha looks down at the kender. "No. The one you saw was not a treant at all, but a hangman tree. It was attempting to trick you, to make you come closer so it could ensnare and eat you. However, they move incredibly slow and are harmless, as long as you don't go near them."

"I understand." Jerrard says softly, helping her back on the horse.

Imani walks back to her horse, and mounts back up. "I think we should keep moving," she says. "We aren't getting very far throughout the day, so I think it is best to keep moving until we have to stop."

The party continues on for another five hours before finally making camp for the night in a small clearing. Surprisingly, by that point, all of Aleaha's wounds have healed on their own.

After a small fire is burning, they break out the cold rations for dinner.

"How much further do we have to go?" asks Malika.

"So far, we've traveled about three miles," Aleaha replies.

"That's it?! It's been two days already! We're going to be here for the rest of our lives at this rate!" the dancer complains.

==============

It is now Evening Watch (7:00 PM).

"Aleaha, is there any way we can go faster? Any suggestion you can give?" The mage asks taking her off to one side. "You possess magic, even one not trained in the healing arts can see you have healed." He adds.

------

"Isn't this forest BORING?" Locky suggests to the Gypsy, "Even worse than the desert. No offense of course."

"Magic?" the elf asks. "Oh, my wounds." She holds up her right hand, displaying a beautiful opal ring. "A Ring of Regeneration," she explains. "In any case, I don't know of any way to move faster, other than to get rid of your horses and rent griffons in the next town. Beyond that, you'll have to be patient, unless you have some kind of magic yourself. I personally know little about sorcery. My power comes from the Blue Phoenix."

"Boring?" Ulster interrupts. "We've fought a troll with two heads and evil treants! What exactly were you expecting, anyway, to consider that boring?"

"Thank you for explaining." He says as he turns back towards the group. "Are creatures like the trolls and the treants common? Should we keep fire at hand? Are there any other preparations you could suggest?"

-------

"Oh they were fun, a little scary but fun... No these trees, they go on and on....." She waves her arms around.

"How do you propose we keep fire on hand?" asks Aleaha.

"I thought kender didn't find anything scary," Thuskar says, leaning on a tree, his arms crossed. "That the idea of fear was alien to them."

Ulster shrugs. "You could say that about any place, though. Trees go on and on in a forest. Nothing but sand in a desert. Mountains, caves, swamps; even cities could be described as houses that just 'go on and on.' Everything must seem boring to you then!" He throws up his hands. "Frankly, I could do with a little less excitement."

"A lantern would be an obvious way to keep fire on hand" Babushka observes. "Of course, we don't have one, and it would need fuel as well. What I have heard of, however, was people keeping embers wrapped in broad leaves of herbs in a leather bag. To make a good fire of it, just some dry kindling is needed, that's quicker than using flint and steel. When we rest for the night, I could try to fashion something like that during my watch, to carry it with us tomorrow."

"Well I wasnt scared." Locky retorts quickly, "I was worried for everyone else, I mean they were quite big..."

(She differs from most Kender sometimes, otherwise there is no depth)
