Silvanesti Reunion

[Jenara]

"Shall we then?" The Kender asks, hopping over to the door again, she grabs both girls and skips into the street, looking all over with a smile on her face. "This is so much fun." She stops in the street, frowning. "Well this place is dull.." She frowns.

"I guess that curse did a number on this town," Imani says as she walks out onto the street, and heads for the general store.

In the stable

Having looked at the horses and ponies, Babushka walks up to the stable owner with an appreciating nod. "These are nice animals." she tells him. Then she turns to Jeremy. "What are the woods like, is it possible to ride through them, or would we be better off walking with pack animals?"

[Jenara]

"Curse? Oh it's more than a curse, see once upon a time during the war, the Elves tried to save their land, the Speaker, he's the man in charge, he had something called a Dragon Orb.. He tried to use it and it summoned a HUGE Dragon! It took over the Speaker and his Nightmares became reality and it twisted the land." Locky talks animatedly, using her hands, "I'd like to meet another Dragon. But a nice one."

The Smithy
Jerrard and the henchmen enter the smithy and find an elven male working at the forge. He appears to be hammering some raw metal into something, although it's too early in the process to really tell. The elf, with sandy brown hair tied back into a ponytail, doesn't seem to even notice the three humans enter the building, but continues to slowly hammer away at the slag uninterrupted.

The Stable
"It's possible to ride in the forest, yes, although not very fast or hard, unless you want to risk running into a tree suddenly," the stablemaster jokes. "I mean, it's 150 miles of forest, hardly a clear plain of nothingness."

The General Store
The general store isn't very big, but it's shelves are crammed with just about anything one would expect to find in one, usually in a random, almost haphazard way. There are a pair of boots, for instance, sitting on a shelf right next to a jar of sweets, which is in turn next to a bundle of furled up scrolls and a cup filled with knife sheaths.

The storekeeper, a lithe and small woman with platinum blonde hair cut very short, turns toward them and says something in Elvish that neither Locky nor Imani understand. Malika responds with a question in Elvish, and the woman blinks, then speaks in Common. "Oh, sorry. We don't get many humans here. I--" she stops suddenly, putting a hand to her chest in shock at the sight of Locky. "No, no, no no! Absolutely not! No kender allowed. I can't afford to be robbed blind, not now."

[Jenara]

"Hello." Locky waves, ignoring the comments like she hadn't heard them, "I'm Locky, I know most Kender like to borrow things, I'm a Cleric of Paladine, pleased to meet you." She offers her hand.

"And I'm the Queen of the Silvanesti," the shopkeep responds sarcastically, and she makes no effort to shake the kender's hand--quite the opposite, in fact. Turning to the humans, she says, "I'm sorry, but if you want to do business here, you'll have to leave your kender outside."

[Jerrard]

"Greetings." Jerrard says waiting for the Smithy to finish what he is doing.

"I was looking for some arrows, and some help." He smiles, offering his hand.

[Jenara]

"No really I am." she shows her Medallion. "I have money." She doesnt appear to be worried at all.

In the Stables:

Jeremy addresses Babushka, "The Stablemaster is right, you don't want to ride fast on a horse, a limb might decide to give you a hard kiss. However it would be easier than walking, and maybe a little faster. The problem is, I don't know how to ride, me and the stubborn mule would usually just plod along at a steady pace."

To the Stablemaster he says, "How much are the animals? We will need to confer with the rest of the group before deciding what to get and how much to spend."

"I know that it might seem odd, but she really is a cleric," Imani says. "And I would rather not leave her outside, as you know how kender are," she points out. She knows that Locky wouldn't just stand there and wait for them. "We'll keep an eye on her, and make sure she doesn't borrow anything from you."

The Smithy
Jerrard waits for the smithy to finish what he is doing before speaking. Unfortunately, the smithy does not appear to be in any hurry and leaves Jerrard waiting at least a good twenty minutes before he finishes his task and turns his attention to the humans.

"What kind of arrows?" he asks, wiping his hands with a rag and removing his apron as he steps away from the forge. He makes no effort to accept Jerrard's hand, leaving the mage hanging.

The Stable
"I'd sell the draft horse for 400 steel," the stablemaster says, removing his gloves and sticking them in a pocket in his apron. "I'd ask 150 steel for the riding horse and 60 steel each for the ponies. Saddles and riding equipment will cost extra, of course."

The General Store
"I don't care if she's the High Mage of Wayreth, no kender in my store," the woman insists. Her voice, already fairly high-pitched, raises a couple more octaves, becoming almost like a squeak. "If she doesn't leave, I'll have to summon the guard."

Imani lets out a small sigh before she looks down to Locky. "Listen, we don't want to start trouble here, so just tell me what you are wanting and I'll get it for you, okay?"

"Of course" Babushka nods. She makes no remark about the pricing, but rather asks: "And how much would three bits, bridle and saddle cost? Riding saddle or pack saddle, I mean?"

[Jenara]

"Just something suitable, greens and browns." Locky answers crestfallen, kicking her heel she waits outside for at least two minutes before wandering off to the middle of the village. Letting her hair fall loose she covers her ears and face.

"Some sheaf arrows for a short bow." He had heard how haughty these elves were, but... "It is a Shame to see such beauty as your village so empty.." He comments, waiting patiently. "How many live here?"
