"I am with you, allow me to change first please?" Brax smiles, "This dress is not ideal for such a task." She says as she darts upstairs when Searos does, appearing a short while later, dressed for combat once more.

"I am ready." She smiles

Martin looks at Geraldine while she is talking, and pantomimes nodding off during her explanation, then, when she has finished, he says: "Sorry, too much math. I'm more of a big-picture guy.

"So we just head over there, knock on the shed door, say: 'Hey, any there gnolls in here?' and if they say: 'yes,' we kill them? Is that the plan?" Martin smiles, broadly. "I like it. It's like 'Ring-and-Run,' except with monsters. I wanna be the one to knock!"
His enthusiasm beams off him, but he subsides for a moment when he looks at Echo.
"Don't worry Frosty, while I'm doing the dangerous stuff you can stand back, wring your hands, and protest that I am doing it wrong," so saying, Martin dips into his duffel bag for his brigandine vest and manicae and changes quickly.

"A better plan, would be for us to approach cautiously. I can cast a spell on someone, perhaps Master Searos, so that he can move and speak without anyone hearing him. He could then sneak in and confirm whether there is any danger or not, and then we can decide what to do about it," Amon suggests.

"Actually," Echo says, looking over to Brax. "Perhaps I should join you when you meet with Linton," she says. She doubts that the man would do anything to her simply because of Daos. "That way you won't have to worry about his advances," she adds. Plus, she doesn't completely trust Brax, so she can keep an on her as well.

"We can talk about dinner and dresses later, ladies. Right now, we should deal with the gnolls. Patches, I don't think we should knock on the door. I want to see if we can follow them to the smugglers' hideout, ya feel me? Tell you what, maybe to wake them up and freak them out, we'll throw a rock at the shed or something."

He looks around waiting until everyone is ready and dressed. "Okay, sheriff, why don't you take us to this shed."

"I will not come with you" Kim tells the others. "Your skills are better suited to this task then mine. I'll study." (ooc: the spells in Sanbalet's book, maybe? Now would be a good time to do it)

Is Echo coming with the group or staying behind?

When everyone is assembled, Geraldine leads them outside. "It's about a quarter hour walk to the Adams's shed. Perhaps on the way there, you can agree on a plan?" she suggests, a little acerbic. They follow the path to the old mansion. It winds through a ring of gardens and orchards that surrounds the settlement before the pastures begin. Several huts and sheds are strewn in here and there. They are simple affairs, mostly plank walls and a thatched roof. Most don't even have windows, just a door that is kept closed with a simple bolt. "People use these to keep equipment close, such as rakes, wheelbarrows, baskets. Nothing too valuable such as metal tools, and a little too bulky to take home every day after work" Geraldine explains.

After said quarter of an hour, Geraldine stops. To the right of the path lie an orchard, apples and pears now ripening, and a cabbage and pumpkin patch. The hut between them, still some fifteen yards away, has the door shut, but not bolted. "That's the Adams's hut" Geraldine points out. "Now, what do you plan to do?"

"I like the idea Searows had. follow them and so on, but I'm sure they have heads of animals, mabye they can hear or smell us better? And how intelligent are they?"

Arriving at the Adams' field, Martin says: "Chances are, it's empty.
"I did six weeks as the villain Guillermo di Bufalo in the comic opera 'Il Silenzio degli Agnelli, il Musicale' -great show, by the way, see it if you get the opportunity - anyway, there was a number called 'Stiamo Andando Interno' in which the constables raid Guillermo's villa, and find it completely empty, whilst the heroine, Clarissa, stumbles across Guillermo in a different town, where he is living under an assumed name, and goes up against him completely alone. I suspect that's what we'll find. The constable part, not Clarissa.
"I say let's just go in and see." Martin will walk right up to the shed, whistling the chorus from 'Stiamo Andando Interno,' and knock on the door, unless someone stops him.

Brax reaches out an arm, grasping Drake with a suprisingly strong grip. "Hold." Is all she says, motioning to Amon with her hand.

"I'm all for staking this place out if we can prove the gnolls are still there. Sadly, a stakeout hinges on silence and secrecy..."

As he says this he motions his head in the direction of Drake.

"Look: we can stake the place out, and eventually maybe they come out, or maybe they don't. And if they don't, we won't know if they didn't because they aren't in there, or because they are in there and just haven't come out yet.
"And if we wait, we won't know when they're coming out, and maybe we won't be ready for them when they do come out. I mean, that will involve staying alert and focused and not getting bored for an indeterminate amount of time, and I only know so many knock-knock jokes to pass the time.
"But if we go in now, and if they are in there, we can take them down immediately. We have to fight them at some point, and we're never going to be more ready than we are right now, capisce?"

"Fine, open it, Amon, Echo, with me. Gunter, Vee you go first. That's my view" Brax stands firm, hands on her mace, glaring at the Jester.
