I wanted to take this time to Check In with everyone:

How are you guys enjoying the game? Do you want to continue this story, or should we move on to something else?

This game has been running for a really long time. I know some of the players are new to it, but I feel like it has bogging down a lot lately and there seems to be little interest in it. Mostly the way this has dragged out is on me, this was my first pbp game attempt and the first couple of years I let things drag a lot instead of steadily moving the plot forward because of my inexperience. in addition (and probably partly as a result of that) there was a lot of attrition as well. At one point I felt like I really had the hang of it and we were plugging along for a good while, but then some irl stuff derailed myself and other players at various times.

The party is over half-way through the module itself, and there are really only 2 major sites of significance to finish this out. Of course there are the separate character-based story-arcs as well, but even with all of that it might be possible to finish in the next year if we get a good rhythm going.

A the moment we have 3-4 players and plenty of support PCs, so the party has the strength to finish it out.

Anyway, let me know

I am in it to win it. This is also my first play by post, and it has been fantastic.
I'm guessing losing the attention(For Im sure many good reasons) of Jenara is the biggest blow to rhythm. As Mira was the defacto party leader even if she didn't want to be.

Yeah, i think she had some irl stuff come up, but it has been about 6 weeks now since even logging in. I'm a little worried about her :(

Jen has been absent for maybe a month on another site that we'd gamed.
I've recovered access to this site but I'm daunted at joining back in.

I'm happy to answer any questions you have and help smooth your return to the game. I know it can be intimidating with a lot of new posts and remembering old stuff.

The short version about the last couple of in-game days:
Yesterday the party returned to Skald from the caverns of the Crown of Souls and the Undead priestess, having defeated her and gained the crown. They sold some loot and Mira performed. Their next steps in the main plot are to take the crown to Dr Dominiani in Gundarak (about 1 day travel north) to see if he can send them back to their homeworlds
-Late last night, some new arrivals came to the Broken Wheel Inn: Esker and Iscind (Viking style fighters), Gregor (human rogue) Del (human looking rogue who turned out to be a Drow)

This morning:
-Jerry had a nightmare of someone being killed by her Father the Vampire. in the morning she saw the body right outside of the inn, just exactly as in her dream. The girl was Laisa, one of Mira's patrons, and close friend to two other patrons of Mira. The town believes it is a serial killer, this is the 4th victim. they all look somewhat like Jerry (humans, similar age, height, build, short blonde hair).
-Del ended up leaving the party (and the game)
-Gregor (now npc) went with Mira and Pyros to the Old Kartakann inn. they spoke to the bartender, then went to look at where the Meekulbrau berries grow. They were ambushed by a wolf-man who they killed and it turned out to be the bartender! This actually happened because of some things the Bartender discovered, and not because of Gregor (as some members presumed)
-Esker and Iscind followed the killer (vampire's) tracks leading to the Grand Hall of Song and Dance
-Jerry and others acquired some holy water

This afternoon:
-Pyros went to talk to the head bartender and got some additional info
-The party searched for the Vampire's lair based on the tracks, but found no sign of the creature (using Jerry's Undead Hunter abilities) at the Grand Hall of Song and Dance nor at the Meistersinger's Keep Guard Tower
-The party gave a description of Jerry's father to the guard sergeant and warned him that the man is a Vampire
-The party returned just before dusk to the Grand Hall for a memorial service

Currently:
-Night has fallen about a half-hour ago, with the Party at the Memorial service outside of the GHoSD
-The memorial service has started and the Meistersinger (Mayor) just made a speech to encourage everyone to live not in fear, travel together, and that guards will be coming to help people get to their homes/ inn's safely when it is over

Oh god... well I'm relieved it turned out not to be! I've had several family members go through that, and it's awful
