Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Round 1 (Surprised!)
Woody pays little attention to the posturing little male ahead but does vaguely note the sound of someone approaching.. from somewhere. It seems all rather distant, rather uninteresting, as he feels something massaging his ego as it ferrets around in his mind. It starts to dig deeper.. Something leaps at him from the western alley just behind them and smacks him in the chest with a morningstar. [#6, AC22, 11 crush]
His companion, Sue chuckles a little at the show but manages to drag his eyes away from the shocking display. He recognises the little fellow, and little he is, to be a kobold, albeit a peculiar one. Another pair of bugbears rush out from the same alley, both wielding iron-banded morningstars, and set about Sue. The first blow slides harmlessly off the paladin’s armour-plate but the second strikes a punishing blow to the side of the head. [Sue: AC24, 33 crush]
Jim stands back some thirty foot, wide eyed in amazement. Nothing seems to have molested him yet.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Chris, can you create a game map for this campaign also in Roll 20? Secondly in round one Woody wants to also laugh at the kobold tiny weaner and say. "I was a little excited as I mistook you for a girl."
Round 2.
Woody will use his action to do an Intelligence check: he will use his GM inspiration to gain advantage.
[1d20+7]=10+7=17
[1d20+7]=15+7=22
If Woody can move and not create reaction attack he will.
The damage taken in round 1 goes to the arcane ward. 3 HP left on it.
Also Woody will pull out his dagger as a bonus action. It will provide bright light in a 10' radius and dim light in a 10' radius.
I would say Sue has the package.

Round 2
Caught flat footed, Jim will rush towards the fray. IF he can get to Woody he will do so and attack the immediate perceivable threat to Woody.
If he cannot reach Woody with his movement (45ft) he will attack a bugbear attacking Sue.
To Hit: [1d20+9]=18+9=27 , Mace Damage: [1d6+6]=6+6=12
To Hit: [1d20+9]=11+9=20 , Mace Damage: [1d6+6]=3+6=9
use a ki point for flurry of blows
To Hit: [1d20+8]=14+8=22 , Unarmed Damage: [1d6+5]=4+5=9
It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone - DC 14
To Hit: [1d20+8]=3+8=11 , Unarmed Damage: [1d6+5]=3+5=8
If Prone (Dis)Advantage: [1d20]=20
Crit Damage if prone is [1d6]=4
The intent here is take down 1 at a time as swiftly as possible.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Sue puts his fingers to this temple and mutters, a silent prayer to Chauntea.(Lay on Hands 25) action.
He will then cast Shield of Faith(Bonus) AC=22 now
=================================================
"What is this all about!" He will then try to put his bag down softly to make sure the items don't get destroyed.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
I see the map is up and running. Is Woody ok, what happened to him? Can he react properly in round 3?
Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Round 2
The cloaked figure [#1] points at Sue and squeaks, "Eetz heem! Hes hass sit!" just as Woody laughs at the little fellow [#2] and says, "I was a little excited as I mistook you for a girl." With a grunt of concentration Woody manages to quieten the whispering in his mind. He pulls out a dagger that glows with steady torch light.
The bugbear assaulting Woody swings his iron-banded morningstar with lots of enthusiasm but little accuracy. [#6, AC10] Nearby one of Sue’s flanking partners brandishes its Morningstar even less effectively. [#5, AC5]
Sue puts his fingers to his temple, brandishes his holy symbol and concentrates. Seconds later he mutters something before putting down the padded bag and calling out, "What is this all about!"
The flashing kobold who looks down, shrugs, looks at Woody and shouts, “Flee!” [#2: Woody WIS save or dash away] The cloaked kobold takes a pace forward and opens its cloak to reveal a similar lack of hair. It is clearly a diminutive female. [#1: Woody & Sue INT saves or 11 psychic dam & stunned for 1 minute] Woody’s bugbear looks dismayed.
The only other reply Sue’s query gets is from remaining bugbear’s morningstar. [#5, AC22, 12 crush]
Jim, flat-footed for once, gathers himself and trots up to relieve Woody. The martial artist redeems himself with a blistering attack of two mace strikes, one to each shoulder, and a kick to the back of the skull which ends the bugbear’s interest in Woody and Faerun. [#6, 30 crush] Jim uses the rest of his momentum to smack one of Sue’s attackers round the ear, bursting its eardrum. [#5: AC20, 8 crush] Map is up & populated for start of round 2.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Woody's spell demolishes the weird kobald duo. Both expire.
