Bryce moves up as well, checking the left half of the hall. As he approaches the area 50 ft down the hall, he spots a 10 ft area ahead that spans the full width of the hall. It appears designed to shift when tread upon...

Bryce detect shifting stonework, [1d6] = 1, pass!
Bryce notices the shifting floor ahead!

Galan watches carefully the progress of the scouts. To Van remarks comparing victory with the anticipation to some hell to break through he only raises his brows with a small smile and a big surprise.
[OOC] Assuming Bryce reports the trap field [/OOC] "What is it Bryce?" he goes up to Bryce. "Is it a trap triggered by pressure? Do you think it is connected to the sliding door or shoot something from the walls? Or maybe opens the main door?" he waits a moment, "Can you disarm the trap? What if we fly over it, is it safe?"
While waiting for Bryce answers Galan tries to see the main doors now from closer position and check the inscription above the door.
=============================================================================================
(OOC: Is "little bit of everything" applicable to understanding the inscription?)

Bryce calls out to Tabbi to hold for a moment and explains to the group what he has found. "I can not be sure if the two "traps" are related or not. We can attempt to either bypass the floor or trigger the floor from a safe distance and see what happens. Give me a moment and I can see if I can figure out some way to disarm or otherwise disable the unstable floor."
OOC - I have no idea whether or not it is allowable by the rules or even physically possible to attempt to disarm/disable the floor so whatever you decide Tristen works for me. If Bryce has the knowledge to know he cannot then he would recommend safely triggering the floor from a distance.

Based on the information I have I don't think the shifting plate of floor can be deactivated through normal means. That said there is probably some magic way to do, so or they could simply Endeavor to bypass it or as you say activate it from afar

Bryce relays the nature of the unstable floor that covers the width of the hall and is around 10 feet deep to the rest of the party. "My advice is to toss something heavy on it from distance or go over it without touching it if we want to continue on this path. Keep in mind I also still have no idea what will trigger that wall either."

"Toss our brother on it!" Van will yell in.

Zafron says: "There is a lot of sand outside here. Why don't we fill a bag with sand and through it on it."
OCC: How fare can someone through a bag with 20 / 30 pounds of weight?

Bish: the Little Bit of Everything or Read Languagss bard abilities might work.go ahead and roll both for Galan
Cointerkid: A 20 lb bag of sand would probably do it. If they bundle it up good and tight and try to throw it shot-put style (i imagine something like the Highland Games is common among Dwarves) then that should work. As for distance.. well world-record shot put distance is 20 meters or so 65 feet ish.
So how about a strength check for the thrower (roll str score or lower on a d20)
you can choose:
50 ft throw (str check only)
Go for distance (str check and roll for distance 2d10+40 ft)
and if you fail a throw you can just try again. ^_^
before anyone attempts a throw please let me know where everyone is stading ^_^

Zafron will throw the bag of sand.
"Everyone, please stand behind me." He will try to reach the sliding floor. He wants to make sure he is not over throwing. Let's tie a rope to this bag.
Zafron will stand behind the Blue line.
STrenght check:
[1d20] = 4
Distance:
[2d10] = 11+40 = 51 feet.

"Who! Oh! Wait!" Galan says alarmed, and then smiles reassuringly.
"Let me first try to see if I can just fly above it and check the inscription at the door." he goes to the edge of the location Bryce describes, looks carefully at the walls for anything flying at him, hovers up a feet and carefully advances above the platform.

(OOC: Read Languages [95%]:
[1d100] = 14
A little bit of everything [95%]:
[1d100] = 62
Being 19th level I asusme Galan knows that when he plays his music he tunes everyone senses and improves their chances to survive traps, poisons and magical attacks, right? So when assuming traps, it is a good time for improved inspiration, right?)

[Yes, Galan knows what effect his bardic inspiration ability has on others. In game terms yes it boosts the saving throws]
Galan floats past, just as Bryce rushes for the entrance and Zafron prepares to hurl the bag of sand. Inspecting the markings above the door, the flying elf seems perhaps perplexed to be unable to decipher them... convinced that either they are completely alien... or they are utter gibberish...
[everyone else has retreated to at least where Zafron is standing just North of the sliding stonework on the wall. Unless directed otherwise I'll take it Tabby is beside him. Where would Galan like to be when the bag is hurled?]
