"So, first questions in the interogation would be regarding the real Kata, Thavin, Sally and what was his name... Adrian? Hmm... No... hmm..." he looks at Turic helplessly trying to remember the name of the savage they mentioned who left this room earlier.

"Kadrian" Turic replies. "A wild elf from the Chultian Peninsula, whom we just recently met. He and Kata traveled with Vestele Ealoeth for a time while she was searching for her missing son. Kadrian journeyed here to assist Kata in locating Vestele when she disappeared after arriving in Waterdeep. They went to scout out the Cynosure and the estates of House Dezlentyr and House Nandar, while the rest of us went to deal with Hugh the Hand's men. They were supposed to return here and advise us on potential scenarios to free Silifrey Hornraven and the other enslaved escort on Lliira's Night." Turic ponders for a moment. "That is all that we really know about either of the two. Kata is a follower of Sharess and her family name is Amblecrown I believe. An interesting name though quite common, there is a line of Amblecrowns who can trace their lineage back to the ancient Netheril. But what would be the chance that Kata is from that particular family?"

Vrunar is puzzled by Turic's lecture of lineage. "Well. This is very interesting and I could not even begin to guess those chances. If she could be traced back to the ancient Netheril will it be of any help to us?"

"Amblecrown.." Navi ponders, turning from the window, "I suppose I could take a look at House Dezlentyr and House Nandar, I might be able to find a way in." She smirks, "As for Lliira's Night... there are tickets are there not?"

"I think." Navi rubs her head. "Netherese descended humans and Sun Elves have both been abducted, Kata could have been taken, and replaced with this..." She looks at the winged creature with contempt. "Lets get her out of here, somewhere safe..." What were this things weaknesses? Time would tell.

Jenara wrote: "I doubt this is the real Kata. More she slipped in through the window, and attacked those inside." Watching Kata as she talks she moves to the window, looking out (what buildings can she see?) "I doubt she can fly very far with those excuses for wings."
With a amused smile Kata had been letting her gaze follow the paladin. However at Navi's comment, she snaps her head around with an icy stare while her tale straightens and stiffens.

Navi's history check reveals the same information about House Dezlentyr and House Nandar as was in Sally's Journal.

"Do you not like me insulting you?" Navi asks, approaching the bound and gagged figure, "I wonder.. was it your mother who offered herself to a demon... or did he take her by force?" using the tip of her rapier she traces a line gently over the creatures skin, parting the sheet in an almost sensual manner.

"I doubt these are here for anything other than for show." She taps the wings gently. "Something to make you feel better for your mother selling her soul." Grinning wickedly Navi sheaves the blade.

"Let us move her, keep her covered, carry her like she is injured, let those of the clergy lead. I will take the rear."

Kata's eyes burn hot with rage at Navi's query, then go wide with fear as the rapier's tip probes the soft folds of the sheet covering her. Gasping in sharply she goes rigid and holds her breath while the blade slips deeper. The trembling of her lips matched by her quivering breasts while the razor like edge caresses across her tightened midriff. Only when Navi finally sheathes the blade, does Kata exhale. Dazed from the lack of breath, it takes a minute before the indignation shows itself. Kata glances quickly at the faces around the room as if to discern their thoughts and reactions. Wedging her back against the wall, she tries to regain her feet. However bound as she is and wounded, the effort is too much for her and she sprawls face down in the floor.

Xiindor look at the bound creature [*You surely weren't gonna try to fly we're you or take off running, your end would come to quickly from my mace demon. But I suspect it will come eventually anyways. Maybe , just maybe I will show you what real wings are used for.]. Xiindor laughs

Navi wrote:"Something to make you feel better for your mother selling her soul."
As Nati torments the creature with her words and action Vrunar steps to her side and firmly holds her hand with the rapier. "Please... She is under control. No need to mimic her teasing and insults." He locks gaze with Navi, his eyes full with care and compassion, "I understand she almost killed you, but now you are safe."
Turic wrote:"Possibly... at least one abduction would fall within a known pattern. But what of the others? "
"Could you elaborate of this known pattern? About the others, well, we should start investigating this as soon as we take 'her'" he gestures to the winged creature "to the temple of Tyr."

Mortimer: Downstairs

The Calishite spirits here are exceptional, I have been told.... Whispers a cloaked figure, who seems to practically melt out of the shadows near your table. Taking a seat opposite you, he continues.... Be silent till you hear what needs to be said. Preferably, we would have met in a less hasty manner Mortimer. But few are the men who can truly steal time, and events are upon us... You will help abduct a girl for me....He pauses as the waitress returns asking for your order.

As Vrunar intercedes with Navi, Kata slowly rolls onto her side with a groan. Curling up into a ball, she nervously watches the interaction.

Turic replies as he glances about the room one last time. "I was just pondering our missing members.... Thavin revealed to us that he had been falsely accused of his parents murder in Neverwinter. Can we not assume that his being on the run, as you stated, most likely stems from that? Likewise Kean has found the need to flee the city, according to Navi's account, and is absent by choice. That said, I feel we should try to aid them both as soon as practical, but neithers absence appears to be tied to the events we are currently charged to deal with.... With those bearing strong Netherese bloodlines being abducted, Kata may well have walked into the dragons mouth unknowingly. We can only assume that this is the blood of Kata's long term companion, Kadrian the wild elf, upon the carpet. But why would he have been slain or taken? it seems odd to go to the trouble of replacing her with an impostor, then remove her closest ally and confidant form our midst.... As for Sally, there was a stranger who seemed to take an unusual interest in both her and the half-elf we rescued last night. Dar Hoon of Mintar was how he introduced himself... Speaking of which, our rescued victim Arnora Sepoltia should be recovered enough to question hopefully. With the revelations of Ag's strange behaivor, we felt it unwise to leave her at the Temple of Torm last night. We were able to spirit her away to the Halls of Justice (Temple of Tyr) with the asistance of a few acolytes."

"Indeed we should go and talk to her, she might have some interesting insights." Moving her hands in a quick gesture, a small mouth shape appears between her thumb and forefinger.

Grinning she turns back to the fallen creature, "If you co-operate you will not be hurt, you can see Xiindor is just itching to cause you harm if you do." Kneeling down before her whispers in elven. "Don't make me kill you."

Mortimer

"Fish and veggies for me, and another glass of wine." Mortimer tells the server while clearing his mind for the next conversation. Before the man speaks he replies "I will do as I will, convince me." he says plainly.

At first, Egewulf figured this opportunity would gain him favor in the eyes of the proprietor, Cheth, but to his dismay, it's brought about the exact opposite. He's been associated with those involved and now Cheth wants him gone.

Without much choice, Egewulf decides to go along see how this might play itself out. Surely someone would take notice of him along the way.

Looking at Cheth, "I'm sure we could make use of a more discreet exit. Does this inn not have a back door which we could reach without going through the main hall?" Egewulf asks.

Mortimer: Downstairs

Perhaps I could take the time to subtly manipulate you into assisting me. The man keeps his face hidden and speaks dryly…. But I see your heart would not be in it. And I do not have the time to subtle….Perhaps some small knowledge of the matter will help you decide… This young lady is already held against her will, and soon may have to debase herself… Circumstances prevent me from acting directly in this matter… Powerful people have taken an interest in this girl, for various reasons of their own. … His voice cracks slightly…. Soon, I will have no choice but to reveal to one of these people that the girl is here… in Waterdeep…. That would not be a good thing…. In a fury, she will take the child with disregard to who now holds her... Blood will be spilled… But in doing so, she will reveal herself to enemies old and new. Once revealed, she will fall to them and the girl will be lost once more…. Of course, if necessary I will find someone else to do this for me. How honorable that person may be to such a vulnerable girl, I can not say. If it is any incentive to you a member of your order, Sally Windborn, was part of the group attempting this child's recue. Her recent disappearance along with her group's other members is no doubt tied to the parties involved in this affair. Assisting the girl may well expose information about your fellow monk's fate. He falls silent, waiting for a response.

At Navi's words the bound Kata tries vainly to crawl away from the elf and assamir. Inch-worming across the floor, she supplicates herself at Vrunar's feet, pleadingly looking up at him as she rests her face upon his boots.

"What? Yes of course. Come along. The back door is off from the staff area. You still have to briefly step into the main room at the foot of the stairs, Unless you wish to go down the laundry shoot, but you wouldn't fit with all that armor on." Cheth leads the way out of the room. "Alright you lot nothing to see here just some mischief makers! Back to your rooms or back to work!" With sweat forming on his head, he turns to Navi as the crowd disperses. "I'll expect you back here in the morning lass with some idea on how to save the Wemic's business." Glancing once more at Kata and Xiidor he wipes his brow, shakes his head, and walks down the hallway.
