"Indeed, it will be just fine I am sure." Jerrard gives the Dwarf a friendly smile and checks the door. "We will look for a key, I presume there must have been a 'Jailor' at some point in time?"
"Jerrard Foss of the White Robes." He bows, "At your service. And your name is?" He motions to the lower part of the walkway, indicating down to Ulster and Thuskar.

"That sounds awful! well its lucky you met us then, well not me because you can't see me, but Jerrard cast a spell on me, he's really a Wizard you know." She rambles, cutting off Jerrard before the Dwarf can speak. "So you have been here for years? It must have got awfully lonely. Say do you know your way around? And I can heal that hand if it hurts."

"Dala," she says. "Dala Rockcrusher."
Ulster and Thuskar help search around for a key or something like it.
"Yes," Dala says, "I know the mine quite well, and the complex, too. The Theiwar didn't make many changes, as far as I know."
"Hey, found something," Ulster says. He picks up a rusty, but intact key.

"Pleased to meet you Dala." Locky gives an unseen smile, she'd never met a Spirit before, it wasnt really what she expected tho.

Imani remains quiet as she listens to the conversation between the spirit and the rest of the group. ~Does she really not know that she is dead?~ she asks herself. These were things she couldn't exactly ask out loud at the moment. ~I wonder what happens when we free her?~ Turning her attention to Ulster. "Might as well try it. Though, I hope it doesn't break in the lock from all the rust."

Shrugging, Ulster places the key into the lock, and gently turns it. The key breaks, but not before unlocking the cell. The door swings open noisily and Dala approaches apprehensively. She cautiously takes a step out and then sighs in relief. "Thank you, thank you all for freeing me. If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know. Otherwise, I need to get as far away from this awful place as I can."

"We came here to free someone else, a young woman we believe has been taken here just a few days ago. So if you know the place well, you could help us free her, to spare her a fate like yours, imprisoned here for years." Babushka smiles at Dala. "My name is Babushka, I am a gnome from Mt. Nevermind, but a longtime traveler in the lands of Krynn."

"I am not sure how I could be of any help to you in that matter," Dala admits. "I am not a warrior, just a miner. If someone was captured, they would most likely be brought to a cell here."

"Oh, just telling us where all these corridors lead would be a great help" Babushka explains. "You see, a long time has passed since you were brought here, and it is no longer the Theiwar who use this mine. Or at least not only the Theiwar. The humans who captured the woman we are looking for will use other places to keep their captive."

Dala seems to consider this. "Very well, I can do that much in return for your freeing me," she agrees.

"Thank you!" Locky responds, "And perhaps we can help you get home too!" She says in a knowing tone.

"Home..," she says wistfully. "I doubt I could ever go to Thorbardin again, not after being exiled. But maybe I can find a new home somewhere else."
"Well," Ulster says. "Looks like we're heading back to the main hall then?"

"Perhaps." Locky pats the dwarf on the back with an invisible arm. "Do you need a weapon? I have a spare dagger."

Babushka nods at Ulster's suggestion. Yes, let's go back to the main hall. Dala can then tell us where the corridors used to lead." She smiles at the dwarf spirit.

Locky's hand goes right through the dwarf's back, but only she can see this. The spirit shakes her head. "No, thank you. I'd probably just drop it. I'm kind of a butterfingers."
It takes two minutes for the party to return to the main hall. Dala walks up front with the girls, while the humans (and donkey) remain in the back with the torchlight. Dekker is very agitated, and Ulster must keep calming him throughout.
"What is wrong with your donkey?" Dala asks.
Ulster replies, "He's, uh...just nervous around...strangers?"
"Oh, I see," she says, accepting that answer.
Once back in the main hall, Dala begins giving directions. "This way," she says, pointing to the hall right across from them, to the west, "leads to a mine shaft. It's locked up and sealed, though. We dug our way into a cave system, and some slaves escaped through it. So we closed it down to keep anyone else from escaping."
She continues, "To the north and to the left leads to our slag pit. Further north and to the left will take you to where we smelt the silver, our silver vault, and eventually to the mines where I used to work." She pauses a moment and hangs her head in shame. "And where I put many others to work, as well."
Shaking her head sadly, she says, "To the north and to the right, leads to the shrine we built to Sargonax the Bender. And finally, straight north leads to the alchemy lab. Oh, and of course," she adds, turning south, "that way to the exit," she says wistfully.
