Everyone in our group is accounted for father, so whoever you saw must be with the smugglers then, Amon projects. He reasons there may be more to the group than they have seen. He can't imagine who else it could be.

Thank you. Amon hears his father say. We are approaching the hill, which way do you suggest we go to enter the house? Is there anything we should know? I rounded up some twenty people on such short notice."

Amon gives detailed instructions to his father on what to expect, including the illusions that are designed to fool people into thinking the place is haunted. He tells them of the secret way down into the basement, and then the other secret way into these caverns. He warns them of the barricade, as well.

When you are close to our position, let me know. I will try and cause a distraction.

Suddenly, Sanbalet arrives on the scene again, Gudrum in tow. He gives a quick glance to the situation, frowns at his men frolicking, and then commands: "Everybody out of here. Leave the prisoners. The young man was right, there's a rescue party on the way."

Surprised, the men get up and follow Sanbalet, taking the lantern with them. The party is now alone in total darkness.

Echo lets out a groan through her gag. This was just not very ideal at all. Luckily, for her, she is a half elf and can see pretty well in the dark. Now if only someone could take the gag off, that would be great.

"I think it might be helpful if we get our hands free, right?" Vee whispers in the darknes "If anybody can get out my hidden dagger, it would be no problem to cut these awful bindings off!"

(Two ooc questions...1. is gunter gagged? 2.)if not, how feasible would it be for him to bump/roll/shuffle his way over to the mages to pull their gags out with his mouth? Unorthodox, but you know what they say about desperate times...-

Only the mages are gagged.

The bounds on everybody's hands - they are tied in front of you - are tight, but not so tight that it's impossible to move the fingers. Also, if you manage to get up without using your hands, you can walk. So it should be no problem, now that you're left alone, that those with infravision help to untie their comrades. The easiest way might be to use Vee's hidden dagger, as she suggests.

(awesome)

Deciding that doing something is better than sitting and doing nothing, Gunter slowly shifts his weight around until he is on his knees, and then, using the wall at his back makes his way to a standing position.

He hisses, "Vee, where's that dagger?"

"I also have a knife, within my cloak, and a healing potion." Brax comments as they start to stand

Searos waits until they are truly alone before attempting to unbind his hands using his skill at knots.

I rolled a NWP check for Rope Use and got a 6

Vee stands up.
"The Dagger is up to my left arm, under my sleeve. And I'm here!" she says, waving with her hands outstretched in front of her body until she recognizes that Gunter can't even see her waving and stops.

(OOC: Remember, guys and gals, it's pitch-dark! Only those with elven blood can see (black-and-white, probably). Given that Searos has probably looked at the knots closely while it was still light and that he passed the check at +11, I'd say that it worked out)

Searos manages to untie the knots on his hands.

Using his blind-fighting abilities, Gunter manages to find Vee alright, even though he's a bit woozy from the blood loss. He takes out her secret dagger. In the process, he cannot help noticing that the skin covering the young fighter's muscular arm is warm and soft.

Kim gets up as well and walks over to Brax, making a questioning gesture incdicating Brax's cloak.

Brax motions to her left side, swinging the cloak around with a swish of her body.
Dex Check: 1d20=14 Pass.

"Use your hands to pull it from my cloak, and then put it my my mouth." She asks, ensuring the small knife is near Kim.
